Visited Shedd Aquarium for the first time and was really impressed. 🐟🐠 The signage throughout makes it easy to navigate, and I appreciated that everything is in both English and Spanish. There are plenty of staff members around to help with questions, too. One staff member who truly stood out was Sherralyn in the Bubble Net Food Court—she was kind, compassionate, and incredibly helpful. Genuine service with a smile. I even made a point to tell her that our interaction made my day. 😁 The exhibits were amazing. I especially loved the penguins—they were so interactive and fun to watch. 🐧The dolphins and beluga whales were incredible as well, and the dolphin show was a highlight. Highly recommend visiting—you can easily spend several hours here and learn so much about our planet and all the fascinating life in it.
A great and fun experience! This aquarium has plenty to see, for folks all ages. It was a quiet Monday winter afternoon so we walked at an easy pace to see everything and it took about 2 hours, including the 10 minute amphitheater dolphin show. There are plenty of eye stopping displays with lots if seating to just appreciate and be mesmerized. We skipped the touch of the starfish but fun to see kids can interact. One star off because this is an expensive museum, even for residents! So take advantage of any family days an discounts! Have fun!

If you’re in Chicago I definitely recommend! There is so much to explore and coming in I didn’t have high expectations since I’ve been disappointed at aquariums many times for the same price. But we ended up staying 3 hours and even watched the beluga show. I definitely recommend getting there early though because when leaving there was definitely lots of people coming in. I was absolutely amazed and would love to come back again!
This place is absolutely amazing. We got so lucky with the show and tickets. You definitely need to reserve this prior to coming, get the city pass. It was an incredible experience and I hope to come back soon. The gift shop is amazing as well bring a backpack or something to store things. They have a coffee shop inside. Staff is so nice and helpful. Loved this place completely.
Loved this spot. Best aquarium we have been to. I feel it had more to offer than the Seattle aquarium. Loved the live shows. Very engaging for all groups even though it had much focused towards kids. The bottlenose dolphin show was great. Oh and don’t miss the show they do in the Amazon rainforest!
