Shedd Aquarium was a wonderful experience and one of the highlights of our visit to Chicago. There are so many different marine animals to see, including colorful fish, sharks, sea turtles, penguins, and other fascinating creatures. The exhibits were interesting, educational, and well organized, making it easy to explore without feeling lost. The aquarium is larger than it looks, so I recommend planning to spend at least a few hours there. It is also a good idea to purchase tickets in advance and arrive when it first opens, especially on weekends, because it can get crowded later in the day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of opportunities to learn about the animals and their habitats. The location is also beautiful, with great views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline nearby. Overall, Shedd Aquarium is definitely worth visiting and is a great attraction for families, couples, and anyone who enjoys animals and marine life.
I recently visited the Shedd Aquarium, and overall I had a great experience. The first thing I noticed was how clean and well maintained everything was. The exhibits, walkways, and viewing areas were spotless, and the staff did a great job keeping the place organized even as it became busy. It made the visit much more enjoyable. The dolphin show was one of the highlights of the day. It was a little shorter than I expected, but it was entertaining and fun to watch. The trainers and dolphins worked really well together, and the performance kept everyone engaged. We also watched one of the 4D movies. While I think the special effects and overall experience could be a little more exciting, the movie itself was very informative and worth watching, especially if you enjoy learning about marine life. The only thing that disappointed me was the shark exhibit. I was expecting to see a wider variety of sharks, but there were only a few types on display. It wasn’t bad, but I had hoped for more. A few tips for anyone planning a visit: even on a Monday, the aquarium became quite crowded after 11 a.m., so it’s definitely worth arriving early. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many adults visiting without kids, which shows that this aquarium isn’t just for families. it’s a great place for adults to explore and enjoy as well. If you’re visiting Chicago, the C3 CityPASS makes the admission much more worthwhile and offers excellent value. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would happily recommend the Shedd Aquarium to anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational experience.

Haven't been here in a very long time even though I live within walking distance. Even when it's crowded, it's a surprisingly peaceful place. I'm not sure what exactly it is about watching fish swim that feels so serene and calming. The aquatic habitats are quite beautiful and there are so many different species of fish, rays, starfish, octopus and so on. I really enjoy the jellyfish and the seahorses and the different kinds of anemone too.
My siblings and I enjoy museums and aquariums. We’ve gone to many aquariums in general. This one is a state of the art facility that is as beautiful as it is modern. Surrounded by water, the viewing deck during shows offers a nice sight. Also pretty diverse without the sheer quantity of animals and sea life they maintain! From beluga whales, penguins, whales, all the way to tortoises and really insane and unique animals. They have a tropical climate area also. The tanks all range and I feel like you can spend 3+ hours here and not get bored. Overall, worth the ticket price and definitely at the top of our list of aquariums we’ve visited and enjoy!
My fiancé and I loved Shedd’s aquarium so much !! Not only is the outside beautiful, but it is so large! We love going to different aquariums and this one is definitely my favorite. We got to see otters (our fav animal) and we were so stunned to see whales!! If you go up to the 4th floor it’s an observation deck where you can watch dolphin shows and whale feedings !! It was an experience like no other! Would definitely recommend to others! The only downside was that it was about $50 a person for Thursday tickets ! Not even a weekend!!! Plus paid parking which was about $35 more. But overall a good time!
