Me and my husband went there for dinner and to celebrate my birthday. It was the best Italian restaurant we have visited in Columbus so far. Loved the ambience and warm lights. Food was too good and filling as well. Also, there are a lot of options for Vegetarians. We loved the Eggplant parmesan the most! Definitely recommend!!
WOW! the italian wedding soup was savory and delicious. The burrata cheese plate was loaded with fresh tomatoes, basil, pesto, and balsamic. We had the cacio e pepe and the penne alla vodka, both were a solid 11/10. This place is definitely on my list of top Italian restaurants in Columbus. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Simply amazing experience.
Food was fantastic. Ordered the braised beef tagliatelle and it was just terrific. Came out hot, in a flavorful but not overwhelming sauce, and the beef inside each pasta was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant is loud (to be expected for any place on High). Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, service was amazing especially for a difficult larger group and the food was excellent 👌. First time in Columbus and was told we had to try, so we did! Great downtown location, it gets very busy especially for happy hour so plan on booking a half hour ahead if you want to get the half price apps and beer. Everyone raved about the meatball so of course we tried it. It's $17 as an app, so that's significant savings if you go at happy hour. I had that on top of spicy arribiatta. The meatball was extremely tender. I have to say that I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it was really good. The spicy arribiatta was very spicy. Very. Pasta was firm and you could tell it was definitely home made. Manhattan drink was on the sweet side for me but overall experience was great! And prices were very reasonable as well.
Fabulous restaurant but I do have a recommendation. Everything was fantastic, the food, the service and the atmosphere. The food especially was made fresh like many of the pastas and desserts. I REALLY appreciated the homemade cannoli shells. I make them myself at home but always struggle when going out to many Italian restaurants and getting the boxed, commercially made shells. It's always soooo disappointing but not at Marcella's! The pistachio cannoli was amazing!! Everything was on point except one thing. My husband ordered the Giardiniera pizza which says on the menu that it has sausage, pepperoni crumble and house tomatoe sauce. So my husband was expecting an all meat pizza (with the exception of cheese of course) but when the pizza was brought out, he thought he was mistakenly given the wrong pizza because the pizza he was served also included many pickled vegetables including carrots, cauliflower and Jalapeños. He personally doesn't enjoy pickled vegetables or Jalapeños and had the menu stated the rest of the toppings that were on the pizza he would not have ordered that specific pizza. Now, the pizza was fantastic, I do love the vegetables so I thought it was very good but my husband scraped the vegetables off of the pizza before eating it. My recommendation is that the menu really should state all of the toppings that come on the pizza but re-printing menus can be a hassle and costly, so perhaps all of the servers should be trained to mention the additional toppings/ the pickled vegetables that come on the pizza when it is ordered, since the description is misleading. Other than that, it was truly a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend Marcella's!!! Thank you.
