Be very careful with this office. I went in to get a vaccine bc my school was requiring it. I asked multiple times during the phone while scheduling if they provided it there, and they said yes. When I arrived they not only surprised me with a membership fee over 300 dollars but after a long time of waiting in the waiting room, I entered the patient room only to have the doctor say "we don't do that here" and sent me elsewhere. they then CHARGED MY INSURANCE $1,600.00 for the 20 SECOND APPOINTMENT AND SENT A BILL TO MY HOUSE for $25. Mind you, it was only set up because they said they provided that there. It was misleading, and they misrepresented themselves. Now I have billing calling me over the phone to pay for that appointment that was less than 20 seconds long and where they did not provide the vaccine they said they could provide. It was a dishonest experience, they had no reason to charge for a mistake they made. like how do they charge my insurance $1,600.00? what???
I was initially very happy to find Dr Massachi. He's my pharmacist of 20 year's best friend, so I received an enthusiastic thumbs up. He'd also been in practice with my former internist at one time which was also reassuring. And our first meeting, which is all it was, went well. He's attentive and responsive. And as other patients have pointed out, there was a Admin Fee of approximately $350 before I could be seen. Those fees have become more prevalent among physicians so I didn't give it much thought. I was surprised, however, that the one time I was seen in office for my physical, it wasn't with Dr Massachi but rather, with his Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant (not sure of her title). And though she's quite pleasant, there were nuances about my care she did not understand and fought me on (e.g., my need for antibiotics prophylactically prior to any procedure that could draw blood, like dental work, which could expose my almost fully fused spine to infection). I found myself having to go over her head to Dr Massachi to get what I knew was necessary more than once, which made me feel terribly uncomfortable. I sadly had to leave his care for 2 reasons. First, I made an appointment for this year's physical and was told "You can't be seen until you pay the $650 Membership Fee" ~ that's double last year's. That's cause for pause since multiple physicians charge Administrative Fees. Secondly, I subsequently received 2 bills from his office: one for a phone call requesting prescriptions for off-site for x-rays my physical therapist was unable to order himself and PT to bridge the gap for 2 months after my pain doctor retired, and a second for a phone call 2 weeks later when I had a cough. Both times I spoke with the Assistant, not Dr Massachi. And each time, my insurance was charged $1,000 for "outpatient visits". Shocking! It made me wonder what I *do* get for my Admin or Membership Fee. I wish it wasn't like this. And I wish when I need to see the doctor, I actually get the doctor as I read other of Dr Massachi's patients do. I sincerely like Dr Massachi and to a person, his staff is very nice. But for the above reasons, I found another internist.

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Massachi’s practice has declined over the past few years. What was once a reliable and professional medical office has changed significantly. A mandatory $360 membership fee has now been implemented—on top of what is already billed to insurance—and patients are not informed of this fee in advance. You only find out once you're already in the office, often while you're feeling unwell. Talk about adding insult to injury—being hit with a surprise bill while sick only made me feel worse. To make matters more concerning, the fee doesn’t seem to be consistent—different patients appear to be charged different amounts, which gives the impression of selective pricing or even double billing. In addition, the quality of care has noticeably declined. Dr. Massachi now relies heavily on an assistant who unfortunately seems to lack the experience and professionalism expected in a medical setting. It has also become increasingly difficult to be seen by the doctor himself unless you are a high-paying or VIP patient. It’s disappointing to see such a shift, as Dr. Massachi was once a trusted and compassionate physician. I truly hope his practice returns to the level of integrity and care it once had.
Great experience every time. I come from Seattle to the office because everyone is so nice and normal and helpful. Very caring, no nonsense approach. Very efficient and the desk and nurses are great as well. I don’t think I will ever change doctors again. I wish I could find care like this is Seattle but I would rather come down and see a better doctor and not just a number.
I was recently introduced to Dr. Massachi went to him for the first time and was surprised by his level of expertise to my specific medical needs and the appropriate medication to resolve it when two other doctors I visited were not able to! I was also amazed by him and his staff reaching out a few weeks later to make sure I was doing better. A+++
