Such a cool hidden gem! The hike to the ruins is short and easy, and the moss-covered stone structures mixed with the graffiti make it feel like you stumbled into an abandoned fairytale set. There were little memorial-style items tucked into one of the openings, which gave the place an unexpectedly peaceful, reflective vibe. The forest around it is beautiful and makes the whole spot feel magical—perfect for photos, exploring, and just soaking in the scenery. It can be muddy/slippery in places, so wear good shoes. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
🏰 🖤Witches Castle feels like a place the forest never gave back. Cold 🥶 dampand quietly powerful, it sits there like a spell half/finished. The hike down and the climb back up is no joke. so wear rain boots 🥾 and tread carefully. Roots, stumps, and slick rocks are everywhere, and if your knees or ankles are weak, this is one ritual you may want to skip. We didn’t pay to get in 🤷🏻♀️we pulled off to the side and walked down, which made it feel more like we’d stumbled onto something we weren’t meant to find. The graffiti covers every surface, and instead of ruining it, it gives the place a voice layers of offerings warnings and stories left behind. You have to look at it through witch’s eyes. Pictures don’t hold the magic. You feel it when you’re there.

i was just there, really cool place....we parked by the neighborhood that leads you to the trail, which then leads you to the castle...amazing scenery and mossy trees. I arrived early as 8am to avoid crowds....please NOTE that smoking here is a bit of "culture"....so if that bothers you or your familly thats something to consider. Right when i was leaving someone pulled up smelling "funky"....i had no problem but some other people might. Have fun.
The hike next to the creek is beautiful, easy to moderate walking some tree limbs and mud but fun to cross the bridge. Unfortunately people have desecrated (the old building) Witches castle with spray paint. While I was there, two teenagers were leaving alcohol and smoking in it while I was trying to get my pictures….
The path to Witch’s Castle feels like the beginning of a tale…just a short half-mile walk, with the trail dipping down as if leading you into another world. When the stone walls of the castle appear, covered in layers of graffiti, it doesn’t feel ruined but it feels alive, like the forest and time have been painting it together. The colors make it eerie and mysterious, as though the castle keeps secrets whispered in the moss. Perfect for wandering with a sense of curiosity… or staging a Halloween photo shoot straight out of a ghost story. Bonus: we found a banana slug on the trail !
