We enjoy every minute there! We have a family membership- high recommended We went to titanic museum, and there is also a VR for titanic - I did the VR with my kids, it is not far from the film, I don’t think it is work an extra payment for it. The kids area upstairs is very good There is a bistro also Clean place I recommend to bring some snacks specially if you have kids. The SUBMARINE! It is a must! You have to do it one of the best experiences ever!!! Don’t miss the submarine you need to reserve for it in advance!
I've been going to OMSI since I was a child, now I take my children here. They are updating the exhibits often and it is a really fun place to explore science. We have young kids so they enjoy the preschool area. It has water play, an area for non-walkers, pretend food play, giant block building, and an area for art and other cool things for young kids. In other areas there are a lot of exhibits for adults and kids to explore, the science labs are really fun. The planetarium has really cool shows that explore different space themed content. It has been years since I've been on the submarine, but I remember thinking it was really cool. For food, you can bring your own food, there are many places to sit down and eat. There is a café, where you can get coffee, premade samdwiches, and other snacks. There is also a cafeteria style restaurant where there are lots of different dishes you can order and an area where you can order pizza. The food prices are kind of high so I usually bring my own food. Overall a really fun place to spend the day with the family.

Took a field trip of 55 kids to see the Titanic exhibit! It was fantastic and so interactive. The staff was great at handling our big group and making our entrance to the exhibits super seamless. Loved the docents and tour guides that were standing on hand ready to share their expert knowledge as we walked through. All the kiddos had so much fun taking upon themselves a character of a real passenger from the Titanic. Learning and seeing what their journey must have been like and discovering in the end whether or not they survived.
Omsi was cool , but it's more so geared towards kids 4-8yo. I took my 11yo son and there wasn't much there that holds pre-teens attention span for too long. They have the Meez center upstairs but thats for teens 13-18. The 10-12 crowd is pretty left out. But its omsi so of course we still enjoyed ourselves.
I visited OMSI during our family road trip to Portland, and it was an incredible experience! There are so many hands-on exhibits that kept both the kids and adults fully engaged. The museum is huge, well-maintained, and offers a perfect blend of education and fun. We especially enjoyed the planetarium and the submarine tour. It's a great place to spend several hours, especially if you're traveling with family. The location by the river is also beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Portland!
