I’ve been Crystal’s patient for five years now and it is refreshing to have a practitioner who truly listens and takes the time to understand issues. I left a message this morning with a (non-emergent) question and I received an excellent and quick response hours later. Her staff, including medical assistants and office personnel, have always treated me and family with respect and care. Thankful for this medical practice!

I want to share my experience to help others avoid an unexpected situation. Before scheduling my appointment at Dragonfly Clinic, I specifically called the clinic to confirm whether my insurance covered the visit and the labs. I was clearly told that everything was covered and that I would only be responsible for my deductible. My visit itself went well, and labs were drawn during the appointment. At no point was I informed that any of the labs might not be covered by insurance. I was not asked to sign anything acknowledging potential out-of-pocket costs, nor was I verbally told that certain labs could result in additional charges. Later, I received three separate bills from a third-party lab provider for tests that were supposedly “not covered.” After investigating, I was told this happened because the clinic entered incorrect billing codes, despite having assured me beforehand that they verified coverage with my insurance. As a result, I am now being forced to pay out of pocket for labs I was explicitly told would be covered. I strongly recommend that anyone visiting this clinic or any clinic personally verify lab coverage directly with both the provider and your insurance, and get confirmation in writing if possible. Speak carefully with the physician ordering labs and ask exactly what is being ordered and how it will be billed. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled felt unprofessional and lacked transparency. Patients should never be surprised with bills for services they were told were covered, especially without consent or disclosure. For this reason, I do not recommend this clinic to anyone planning to have labs drawn unless they are willing to double- and triple-check everything themselves.
