I had a great experience with 261 Auto Repair. The staff was very professional, honest, and easy to work with. They took the time to explain what was wrong with my car and gave me a fair price before starting the work. The repair was done quickly and my car has been running great ever since. It’s hard to find mechanics you can really trust, but these guys were straightforward and didn’t try to upsell anything unnecessary. I’d definitely recommend 261 Auto Repair to anyone in the Akron area who needs reliable and affordable car repairs. I’ll definitely be coming back if I need work done again!
I took my car to a local shop in the Bath/Richfield area, and it was a shockingly bad experience. Not only couldn't the owner give me a ballpark estimate of when the car would be done, blaming it on parts availability (which I understood), and the fact that he was "up to his eyeballs in paperwork," when I told him I needed the car back within the next few days, he acted surprised and struck a condescending tone when I told him that the car was my daily driver. I paid him a diagnostic fee, and promptly drove the car over to Brian at 261. Although I arrived there a few minutes after they closed, Brian said he would wait until I arrived. When I got there, he said he'd call me in the morning with what he'd found, along with the cost and proceeded to do exactly that. Brian was prompt, courteous, and professional, and the car was ready later that same day, at a cost that was nearly $350.00 less than I was quoted at the other place. The experience at 261 couldn't have been any more different than my experience at the place in Richfield. I told Brian that he has my business moving forward. Very highly recommended.

They said they could fix my husbands car and we spent almost $800. Drove it 20miles and it broke down. Took it to a different shop and that shop said this store fixed it just enough to run and get paid. Car is completely dead. Out $800 and a car.
One of the best shops I’ve been to. Honest work, good prices, and they stand behind what they do. You can tell they take pride in their work. Definitely earned my business moving forward.
