This is a good accommodation fairly placed closer to major work offices. I stayed here for couple of days during my official trip. The checkin was quick and was allowed to keep the luggages at the front desk lobby as I arrived earlier than the check-in time. The morning free breakfast spread was good and the other amenities like gym and the indoor play area for kids were pretty cool. Couple of things I felt could have been different- - The room with the view and the included kitchen were great, but they didn’t clean up the room or make the bed, the following days. - The floor consistently smelled caustic - like leaked chemicals.
For the past two weeks, I've stayed in several different hotels with my family. Honestly, most of them left much to be desired, but this hotel met my expectations. The young woman who works the evening shifts is very kind and answered all our questions; she was incredibly helpful. The hotel is clean, and above all, I felt very safe. It has an excellent location. I can't say the same about the person in the breakfast area, who was very rude every day. She didn't manage that area properly; there was no yogurt, no cream cheese, and when we asked for it, she looked annoyed. The manager should talk to her and get her to change her attitude.

The mattresses are very low quality and uncomfortable compared to all the other Hamptons I’ve stayed at across the US. Get ready for some rough nights of sleep… while the lobby was updated the room carpets were old and nasty and stained. Service was mixed. The front desk was very helpful, but the coffee was cold or empty every day we were there the whole week, except during breakfast hours, where it was empty frequently.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Charlotte Uptown with our youth hockey team and a service dog. The hotel was disappointing in several ways. There’s no area for dogs to go potty, and the city itself lacked basic conveniences like trash cans. The location isn’t very walkable to kid-friendly dining, especially in winter. The indoor pool was tiny and freezing—heated pools would make more sense. Breakfast was awkward, as one kitchen staff members accused a player of grabbing food with his hands when he hadn’t, and felt like we were being watched constantly. Other issues: the fire alarm went off Saturday morning (kitchen issue), we paid extra for an “upgraded room” (king suite on floor 11) only to find out its an interior room, so the view was of the condo next door, and it shared a wall with the elevator. The elevator sounded like it was having mechanical issues ALL night and was VERY, very loud. On the plus side, the beds were firm and very comfortable. We parked across the street due to our oversized vehicle. Overall, it was an okay stay, but several things need improvement.
Some good things were that the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The main negative was that the water pressure was very very low. Almost not useable… Also, if you’re someone who uses hotel shower supplies - they only had conditioner in the shower for some reason so no body wash or shampoo…
