What a squandered opportunity on behalf of city of Charlotte. This little gem of a park just south of the city gets five stars for its view of the skyline reflected on the little pond, but gets zero stars for the decrepit state of the park. The park shows its age, the pond is filled with trash and gunk, the concrete walkways are black from years of usage, and the fountain in the middle of the park (like most fountains in the city ) does not work. Just power washing the concrete grounds would go a long way . Charlotte: do something about this otherwise lovely park. The photos show the kind of skyline views you can get from the south end of the park, but I am not showing pictures of the sad state of the park.
Such a cute place to stop by in the afternoon. It has a great view of the skyline and it here is a ton of seating everywhere. It’s very calm and quite a great place for a cute picnic date!

Peaceful urban escape with skyline views! Marshall Park is a beautiful green space right in Uptown Charlotte. The pond, fountain, and skyline backdrop make it perfect for a quiet walk or a quick mental reset. It’s clean, well-maintained, and has powerful monuments like the MLK statue and Holocaust memorial. A great spot to relax, reflect, or enjoy a moment of peace in the city. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!
Last year, my fiancé and I came to get our Marriage license across the street, then hopped over to this park to take a few photos! ~Now, Mr and Mrs McClendon! 7/3/25
Very small park with a lake. Capured a beautiful view of the skyline from the park. I am sure I'm not the first one to wish that Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC) was not there to block the views. That building looks very dull and doesn't fit the surrounding skycrapers.
