My husband was admitted to Grandview Hospital from being transported from an ER in a neighboring town. The ER scans showed concerns with his vertebral and carotid arteries plus some calcification in his LAD and aorta arteries. The ER insisted he be transported by ambulance because he needed to have a monitors hooked to him the entire way. After arriving at approximately midnight nurses came in a checked his blood pressure and blood sugar about three times each. He was never hooked up to any monitors. The hospitalist on duty finally came in around 4 AM and basically introduced himself. Then shift change came so the next hospitalist came in at approximately 9 AM and said well everything looks good so we’re releasing you. See on an after visit summary from I’m assuming a nurse not really sure by the name, but it stated that he was there for uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. It seems as if the hospital didn’t really even read the report from the ER. How in the world can you get two conflicting reports from medical professionals. Then to say the main reason he was there was for his type 2 diabetes is insane. Medical professionals need to get the rack together and if they’re not qualified to be there then fire them, and get someone competent to replace them.
My dad recently had a mild hernia surgery, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff was kind, professional, and very reassuring. Everything was clearly explained, the procedure went smoothly, and his recovery has been going well. We’re very grateful for the care he received and highly recommend this team. Thank you!

(Shawnna Grigsby) I was admitted here Tuesday night 12/16/2025 and they have an AWESOME staff! Like every single nurse, respiratory, cna, housekeeper, nutritionist no matter the staff that came in contact were the most genuine and nicest people I have ever came across. Of course being in the hospital isn’t fun but they made me wanna move in even though I miss home lol I’m like NO WAY this has to be AI but no these are real humans with heart for what they love and they actually care. My experience was definitely 1000/10. I’d highly recommend this hospital! Thanks for saving my life btw!!!!
I dont know that they teach bedside manners anymore or if its the fact that staffing needs are so critical that hospitals hire anyone. My daughter slipped on ice yesterday and is about 6 weeks postoperative. Dr. M. Wilson barely looked at her. No physical work up just imaging and lab work. Not all data is visible through machines and lab work. Some times care and research are necessary. Nurse Morgan decided to tell me that the emergency is fot critical items, well obviously we wouldnt have come to the ER if my daughter wasnt in pain. This was probably the worst experience we've had yet dealing with the Kettering network. Sadly, the ambulance said they couldnt bring my daughter to the preferred hospital, which will be verified, but due to the emergent nature, we obliged. Friends, I am not from here and am not familiar with this hospital, but unless there are no options, do NOT go here. The bright note, the staff at the front door were excellent and the first shift nurses were pleasant and helpful.
I have never felt more taken care of and safe. You were all so friendly and kind to me and had me feeling better the moment I got there. Shift after shift of pure excellence. A special note to Angela, Erin and Kim and a special thank you to the floor manager who took a moment to check on me as well. My only and I mean only complaint is the showers were cold. If I have to be taken care of this is the only place I’ll go!(once they fix the showers temperature 😉)
