I’ve been wanting to see the collection at Trundle Manor for years….it met and possibly exceeded all of my expectations. If you love morbid curiosities, quirky taxidermy, and odd and unique stuff, you'll enjoy this place. My only complaint is that they need more merch….t-shirts, hats, coffee mugs….anything….everything! This is a private home where the couple who owns it are kind enough to share their collection with the general public, so they have a few basic rules to follow such as not showing up early and contacting them if you can’t make your scheduled time. The wife, Velda von Minx, gave us our tour and she has lots of wonderful stories about the collection and their home and was kind enough to answer our many questions!
My son and I visited Trundle Manor and liked it. They have a vast collection of things. They will tell you what each one is and stories of how they acquired them. They point items out, or you can ask questions. My soon to be 13 year old was entertained. The host was so nice and definitely put a lot of effort into the tour. A few fun surprises along the way.

The most fascinating piece of Pittsburgh culture! It is run by a married couple who are clearly incredibly passionate about all things strange and unusual- each room is absolutely filled to the brim with unique items, particularly lots of really cool taxidermy animals! As someone in the medical field I was also really impressed by all the old freaky medical equipment they had there. There really is something for everyone there to enjoy. From a logistical standpoint it was a great experience too- you can text them at the number on their site to book your tour, and when you get there the parking is super easy (lots of street spots available). Highly highly recommend!
This place is exceptionally unique, macabre, and fantastic! Very engaging and informational private tour by the lovely lady of the house who shared their eclectic, albeit morbid, collection of odds and ends including medical instruments, dressed up taxidermied animals, fun creations, artwork, creepy old toys, homemade machines, animal skeletons, and SO much more! It was absolutely fascinating and we will definitely be back with more friends to share the experience! It is free to tour the manor, but they gratefully accept monetary donations or weird, dead, or creepy things to add to their collection. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an hour of unusual fun with friends or for an unforgettable date night. :-D
We came for our daughter’s 21st bday. The hosts were great! An extensive collection of oddities (many made by hand of said hosts) tucked inside their Pittsburgh home. It’s not huge but there is so much packed into the space. My personal favorite piece was the lenticular Jesus portrait from George Romero’s 1977 vampire masterpiece “Martin”, which belonged to the owners of the home in Braddock (signed by John “Martin” Amplas & Tony Buba!)
