Such a cool gem that I have been meaning to see for a while. I was greeted and offered a tour which I was glad I took. So much great history! Big thanks to the volunteers!
A must experience museum! The history of Toledo FF and EMS is so interesting and they have great displays and Interactive room for kids to learn about safety.
One of the nicest, well kept and friendly museum I have visited in years. So much of the history of Toledo’s Fire Departments are located here and are well kept. The gentlemen that will escort you around are very knowledgeable and have plenty to explain. It’s well worth the stop! PLEASE, they work off donations, so drop a bill or two in the box.

If you have small children who love ❤️ to see fire trucks 🚒, lights and sirens 🚨 going down the street then this museum is the place to visit. There is two floors with firemen artifacts. This museum has several firetrucks on the 1st floor. To answer any questions about the firetrucks. NO 🚫 you cannot sit, climb, or touch any of the trucks. Also on the 1st floor, there is a wall that has several types of fire and police alarms 🔔, a display that consist of several fire helmets ⛑️, a rack with several firemen coats, a display of firemen badges, and display of hose nozzles. There is a display that shows several fire recuse of brave firefighters saving lives, a display showing the integration of Black Americans firemen 🚒, and a plague of all the firefighters who passed away while in the line of duty. The second floor is a learning experience floor. The Fire Safety and Education Center allow children and adults to actually role play fire 🔥 encounter in a house 🏠. The training is under the supervision of the Fire Prevention Bureau. Children are taught what to do if they are ever in a fire 🔥 situation such as roll out of bed 🛌, keep low to the floor in case of smoke and feel the door🚪with the back of your hand. When everyone has been trained on all the fire safety rules, it is now time to slide down the fire pole. Welcome to the end of your tour 😁.
Very interesting to look around and see the old fire engines. The staff provides great information on the artifacts with some of them who have really worked here when this was a functional fire station. The entry is free but you can make a donation.
