The room and bedroom is super clean and the staff is really nice but what’s creepy is the amount of windows that surround the pool. Everyone can see you from outside and you can see everyone that walks by and walks in up to the front desk and that walks down the hall. We were hoping to go swimming before it closed but felt too uncomfortable because of all the people that were literally staring into the pool area from outside and inside! Hopefully the hotel does something about having more privacy in the pool room.. they have cameras in the pool area to use instead of having strangers doin the creepin. I’m sure they can afford shades
Travelers beware!! Bed bugs have completely upended my trip. I woke to find this bed bug crawling around next to me on the bed. The sheets and mattress didn't show any normal bed bug signs, so I wouldn't have known if I didn't wake when I did to see it next to me. We drove for 6.5 hours to meet up with friends, and had to turn around and go home. Now I'm going through the nightmare of making sure no stragglers or eggs somehow make their way into my home. EDIT: I very much care about the hotel's reputation and wrestled with myself before posting this as I knew that it would negatively impact your business. I DID NOT post this lightly or with disregard. I posted this because it DID happen to me. I am seriously shaken up over this experience, and I have gone through the arduous task of cleaning everything that can be cleaned and throwing out everything that cannot. I took these photo from inside YOUR hotel room on YOUR bedding. I have date/time stamps of the photos on my camera roll to prove it. It may not look like your bedding, but try using the zoom function on your camera and you'll see it will perfectly match mine. I zoomed in to get a clear shot, as well as used another phone to shine a light for some photos. I should have taken a picture of the whole room to prove that it was your hotel room, but I was only concerned on getting photos of the bug that I wasn't sure was a bed bug at the time. I'm sure you'll understand that I was very flustered at the time and was only worried about getting a good shot of the bug--not getting proof of the bug in the room I was in. I wasn't expecting to be called a liar!! I regret not running down immediately and asking for a Ziplock bag from the front desk to bring this little pest as proof. The reason why we came out so close to check-out time was we all needed to shower before leaving -- something we had not planned on the night before. I understand that there are scrupulous people out there who love to go around and mess with businesses (demanding refunds, leaving fake reviews, etc), but know that I only wrote this up because it really did happen. And it is SERIOUSLY affecting my life and will be for the next few months while I quarantine my car and certain items. I DO NOT want to harm your business. I want to warn others of the experience I had. I do not wish what I'm dealing with upon anyone! The fact that you are essentially calling me a liar when I am going to be dealing with this for several months is mind boggling. I want you to fix this problem so that it doesn't affect others. In regards to the timing of my stay: We originally booked 2 nights, but after we realized we only needed 1 night, we informed both your hotel and hotels.com (the 3rd party site) on the day of check-in (hours before we arrived) and NOT the next morning. We only went downstairs once we were ready to leave. This was a last-minuet booking that I had only made the day before, so unfortunately our plans ended up changing and we didn't have much time. We asked for a refund for the second night as we were going to be checking out after only one night, and this was approved by both the hotel and hotels.com. I regret this change in our plans somehow gives the hotel ammo to claim we are untrustworthy. When we told the lady at the front desk about this and showed her the pictures, we asked what could be done. She told us we needed to contact the 3rd party site for further escalation of the situation. So that is what we did. For both your sake and especially our sake, I hope to God this was a single adult that somehow got into the bedding. I did a lot of research, and as it was very flat, I don't think it had eaten in a while. I didn't find any bites on me, so I am good in that regard. I am only trying to warn others. I understand from your point of view that I am most likely a crazy Karen who wants to get a free hotel stay at the cost of your reputation. I understand your knee-jerk reaction to thinking this is fake. But, again, this DID happen. And I am having to deal with the consequences.

Not impressed with the room. Our air conditioner stopped working the first day. Second day we came back & room smelled like chemical or burning. Shower ran lukewarm. Breakfast was very disappointing. Make your own waffles was one of few choices on menu. Pillows given were tiny & hard.
Rooms are meh. Shower was clean, bed was comfortable and staff was nice. The breakfast was not very good. Waffles were good, but I'd stick with yogurt or cereal.
I waited a while to post this review because I really wanted to think about everything that happened! Let me start out by saying when I got there and saw the rooms. I loved it. The rooms are clean for the most part, outside of small things that I noticed, most people don't even look as close as I do at things like, one time my girlfriend saw a gummy bear in the corner by the door and it was still there the next time we got the same room and one time the bathroom floor wasn't mopped that good and the face of the ac units would be halfway off sometimes. I can't say anything bad about the beds! All housekeepers make the beds really good. What i am going to say is the ones on the 3rd floor came to our room anywhere from 9:30am to 10:30am! That is before checkout. I have never been to a hotel that does that, and I have been to a good amount of them from dayton to Cincinnati for business! The first encounter that I had with a cleaner was when he came to my room close to checkout with a rude tone asking if I was checking out and demanding that I go pay if I wasn't while pointing to the front desk like I was a child! I got upset and went to talk to one of the owners about it, I saw him getting on an elevator with another customer, and I let it be known that I wasn't ok with what happened! He immediately said that the cleaner probably didn't mean any harm and that he would talk to him. I have been in customer service for more than 20 years, I own a business, and I studied psychology as well, so I definitely know when someone's being disrespectful and that was one of those times. After that, they would show up asking if I was leaving or staying a lot of the times around 9:30am to 10:30am to try to get done with the rooms earlier! Keep in mind that I clean my rooms top to bottom and have the trash and dirty towels by the door so they are only in my rooms for 20 seconds every time. Once the cleaner started noticing that i was like that, he asked me to help him put trash in the big bags because my family would have a good amount of it every morning. It became expected of me to help him even though I did most of the other work for them already! I went to the front desk and let them know about the day he knocked on our room door and woke my kids up early and to let them know not to do that on a particular day because I needed sleep til 11am and that was one of the only times that it worked because of one of the new guys that they hired for the front desk! He told me that the cleaners on the 3rd floor like to stay on top of the rooms that they get to clean and i definitely respect their efforts but it shouldn't be done until 11am unless a customer requests it! I will say that I really liked 4 of the people that worked at the front desk and I have never had a problem with the cleaners on the 1st or 2nd floor except for the one time we were given a room and there was a cleaner sitting on the bed when we entered the room talking to his family member on the phone waisting time! They have some good employees, but the other ones don't give good customer service, do the job right during the hours that they should, or even show up from what I saw. The last and final thing that turned us completely off from this property was the fact that i started getting talked to about needing to go through them for bookings because I got a discounted rate online from day one and never paid full price! One of the owners talked to me that the last day and gave me a speech about having to leave and come back at 3pm if I renewed my room going forward even after spending around $1500 the entire time i stayed there with the 3rd party booking site for their company. I understand that you didn't get a lot of that money, but that's something you should fix with them, not me...
