SkyView Atlanta is easily one of the best spots to take in the city skyline and catch a sunset in Atlanta. The views from the top are absolutely stunning—you really get that full panoramic look of downtown as the sky starts to change colors. It’s such a simple experience, but it feels special every time. Whether you’re visiting or local, it’s a great reminder of how beautiful Atlanta really is from above. Perfect for a chill evening, a date, or just a moment to slow down and enjoy the view. Definitely one of my favorite places to see the city from a different perspective.
An amazing way to see the city. We rode the ferris wheel after attending a show at The Tabernacle (get Room access so you get rooftop access). It’s just a beautiful little ride around and around in an air conditioned pod. Highly recommend!

My fiancè and I had an Atlanta staycation to celebrate his birthday. SkyView was such a perfect activity for us! He had never experienced SkyView, so it was perfect. We got the date night package which came with chocolates. He was so happy!
Worth doing for sure, but don’t expect a long ride. Gondolas are climate controlled & fairly comfortable. Staff were reasonably friendly & helpful, but I felt rushed. If anyone in your party is afraid of heights, they may not want to go. We were stuck at the top for a while & one of our party was struggling. Views are very good & the ride is smooth.
SkyView Atlanta is one of those experiences that gives you a completely different perspective of downtown. The giant wheel stands right next to Centennial Olympic Park and the views from the top are honestly stunning, especially if you go around sunset or after dark when the city lights come alive. The gondolas are fully enclosed, clean, and air conditioned, which makes the ride comfortable even on hot days. The rotation is slow and smooth, so you get enough time to really take in the skyline, Mercedes Benz Stadium, and surrounding attractions without feeling rushed. Parking is similar to anywhere downtown, mostly paid garages nearby, but everything is within easy walking distance. Tickets are usually available on site, but buying online can save you a little time, especially on weekends. One tip would be to try the evening ride for the best experience, the view feels much more magical compared to daytime. Also, if you want a quieter ride, weekdays are much less crowded. It’s a short ride, but definitely worth doing at least once for those panoramic city views and a relaxed break in the middle of the city.
