Excellent lil' local place to feel welcomed and at home, yet classy decor, and A+ meal! I treated myself after quitting my transitional job and preparing for the the next golden position that God has in store for me. My steak, that was only $14.99 was juicey and cooked to perfection! Service was genuine, top notch and friendly. Febie was terrific! Thank you for the great escape...also a wonderful way to pre-celerate my birthday! Highly recommend.
Old 97 is a hidden GEM!! Situated in a quiet location with lots of parking, this historic building has loads of charm. The interior is lovely with an authentic Irish Pub ambiance. Live music, great staff and a variety of interesting cocktails make this the perfect local spot to meet up with friends. Their menu is pretty much what you'd expect at a pub, BUT very tasty!! During the warmer months, the outdoor patio is gorgeous as well as their stylish "French Barn". Highly recommended!!

Just recently discovered this hidden gem. The food is good, and the drinks are amazing; but what really sets them apart is the service. Everyone from the owners to the wait staff are friendly, welcoming, and obviously truly concerned that every guest is completely satisfied. Our first night there, we met a half dozen of the staff, including both owners, and they made us feel like family immediately. If you’re looking for a quaint little pub, where you will fit right in, while enjoying some amazing martinis and good food, this is the place to be. Can’t wait for bike nights to start!
Dined here on a Friday and ordered the Philly cheesecake special. It was delicious — and huge! They didn’t skimp on the bourbon in my Old Fashioned either. Has a nice, dark ambiance. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much for a tasty meal.
This place has a very nice patio. They have live entertainment throughout the week. No draft beer but a good selection of bottled beer. They also have many cocktail options. I ordered the chips and dip as an appetizer. They serve Lawson's chip dip, an Akron favorite for years. For dinner, I had the salmon tacos. They are served with a black bean salad. My preference is a more chunky fish taco versus the finer chopped version that was served. The tacos were ok, but they needed a bit more cilantro and maybe a bit more lime. They were served in a soft taco shell that was fire grilled. The black bean salad needed some salt as it tasted a bit plain. Still, it was a good meal and came out of the kitchen promptly. Our server was great. She checked on us frequently and was efficient and friendly. They did have a band scheduled for the night, but I left as they were setting up, so I can not comment on the entertainment.
