Wow, what a LOVELY experience!! The hotel and views speak for themselves. This is a must see, must experience destination. Everything you could possibly need is on site. My husband and I never even left the property for 4 days. The restaurants are wonderful, there is something for everyone. There are many different restaurants throughout the property. The hospitality is truly one of the finest we've experienced. The manager for the restaurants and the central bar was superb. He was on site what seemed to be 24/7. He was very, very personable and I'm so ashamed that I do not have his name because he is top-notch and we are certain that this place delivers such quality because of his hands on management. I believe he was originally from Austin Texas. Thank you for your genuine kindness to not only us as patrons, but we could also see it in how you treated your staff. Upstairs at the Starbucks and gift shops location was a manager named Josiah Buchanan. We have been many, many places and we have never met someone so personable and so interested in people and interested in his job and delivering quality service and making patrons happy. There was also a gentleman working there named Terrace who also had such a wonderful attitude. He was equally as kind and genuinely loved his job. These gentlemen were so happy with their jobs and what they did and the concern they showed to deliver top notch service was so amazing! You rarely experience hospitality like this. We felt so welcome by all from the front desk to housekeeping to restaurant managers, waiters, waitresses bartenders, nothing but great experiences. You could write a book on all the lovely things there are to do at this establishment, but you just have to experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. What a positive experience!!!! Thank you to all for such a lovely experience. We WILL be back.

My husband and I stayed at the Gaylord for a conference and were very underwhelmed with our experience. To start, mobile check-in did not work. We were also supposed to receive a tax-exempt rate due to the type of conference we were attending, but the manager who was supposed to assist us completely stopped responding to my husband, which was extremely frustrating. Everything at this resort is extremely overpriced. An Old Fashioned made with the cheapest rye was $24. The food throughout the property was nothing special and certainly not worth the prices charged. We’ve had better meals for half the cost off-site, along with significantly better service from waitstaff. This resort is overly hyped for no real reason. We have had far better experiences at lower-end hotels that provided better value, service, and overall care for guests. The one highlight of our stay was the spa. It was absolutely worth the money, and the amenities made the experience memorable. The indoor pool area, however, had noticeably dirty floors (understandable given the number of guests and children), though the adults-only hot tub was a nice feature. We understand that resorts are expensive, but with prices like these, the service, presentation, and attention to guests should be outstanding—and that was not our experience. We will not stay here again and will recommend others find a better resort elsewhere.
This property is absolutely stunning. I love all the artwork in the lobby, and the views are incredible. Came to see the ice experience and to see the Mrs. Claus show it did not disappoint. Sunshine was very professional, super sweet and very helpful. Kymbal was an absolute angel. The ice sculptures were absolutely incredible. It was a little bit chilly, but they have everything under control. They gave you the parka to go through the experience and let you take your time it was really neat to be able to go down the ice slide as well. The show with Mrs. Claus and snowflake was very cute. You get cookies and milk while you’re enjoying the show the gentleman that played snowflake did such a great job Mrs. Claus was not bad either 10 out of 10 Totally recommend if you have a chance to go see the ice experience you definitely should. They have a little village inside and when you exit the ice experience, you can get hot chocolate and do some shopping. They also have a build a bear that you can have special build a bears made they have indoor snow tubing and all sorts of cool stuff, 10 out of 10 totally recommend checking everything out.
This place is MONEYPIT. THEY DONT WANT YOU LEAVE. 4 coffees in the morning was $65. Every restaurant is completely overpriced with a tiny menu. The beds are actually horrendous. Takes hours to sleep even when i was drunk. The only positive to this story is the pool is nice. They advertised that the LAZY RIVER was year round and it’s most definitely NOT YEAR ROUND. Unless you are rich as hell this is NOT the place for you. Just go to the mountains it is 10x better. Sleep in a tent. It’s better.
We’ve stayed here two full weekends now and I’m extremely under impressed. For one, this is not a cheap hotel and if it weren’t for my daughters sport competitions being here we would likely never stay again. The rooms are clean, sub par though. If you’re really lucky you’ll get placed in a room near the live band and your kids will be unable to sleep. Also, dinner at the bar/grill is always bad service and fairly expensive. We’ve eaten there now 6 or 7 times and every single time has been a tough experience. 9/10 I would not recommend especially for the price.
