Aleo is a special place. It is truly one of a kind. Our room was clean, comfortable and very nice but what makes the Aleo stand out is the entirety of the setting. The house itself is lovely, full of art, with many inviting common areas. During our stay we enjoyed checking out the grounds (sculpture garden), visited an exhibit at The Shepherd (church on the grounds converted to an art gallery), had dinner and cocktails at the onsite restaurant Father Forgive Me (amazing!) and had a fabulous breakfast from Warda Patisserie (James Beard award-winning). There are other cool things to do in the area but you will want to spend as much as possible right there at the Aleo.
This is a unique, special place. It's just this collection of all things cool and artful (guest house dripping with original art, cocktail bar, bakery, fire pit, sculpture garden, skateboard park!) in one thoughtful, beautiful compound. It is a destination itself. We had a big group that took all four rooms. We loved the common spaces. We loved the nearby galleries. Sarah took great care of us. I highly recommend it.

This bed and breakfast is better than most boutique hotels I've been to. The whole space is an art and design-lover's dream -- the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and The Sheperd gallery and sculpture garden were super cool. Just a few steps out of the back door is the bar Father Forgive Me (with excellent cocktails and friendly bartenders) and Warda Patisserie (you receive gift cards to Warda for breakfast, but I would've chosen to eat there each morning on my own dime - truly some high quality pastries, quiche and desserts). At 15 minutes away from downtown, you cannot beat the location. We will absolutely be back.
What an incredible venue, bar and gallery. Loved the chic mid century decor and vibe of the place. Absolutely loved it, friendly staff, great cocktails and food. Each rooms were curated and decored to fit the vibe. Loved the art on display inside & sculptures in the lawn outside.
ALEO is a gem! The house is stunning. The Lion Suite was so cozy and clean and welcoming. The staff are helpful, friendly and cheerful. We'd go back in a heartbeat. The patisserie next door is to die for! And the bar is a really fun spot as well. I loved our stay
