I tried the rockfish bánh mì and the shrimp toast. The rockfish bánh mì was decent, but the fish patty tasted more like a processed fish cake than a whole piece of fish. It seemed to contain a fair amount of starch or filler mixed in with the fish, so it didn’t have the flaky texture I was expecting. The flavor itself was okay, but considering the price, I expected better quality. The shrimp toast was crispy and shrimp is tender but because it was extremely oily, which made it feel quite heavy. Overall, the vibe here is good, and service is warm, the food was decent, but I don’t think it offered good value for the price.
The food is well prepared. I will say I was expecting french fries or chips but the fries served at chunks. Home fries/chunks hurt our dining vibe. They are good but be warned not the type of fries I believe the general public pictures. Wish I got those potato chips. Anyway, bowl is a good portion size. The fish patty is different. Also found it a bit bland. The special fried fish sandwich was piled high and delicious. Those home fried though, mood killer. Atmosphere is cool NW found wood vibe with cool art. Small place but didn’t feel cramped. Our service was very friendly. It’s not just this place but so many restaurants in town, for cost reasons, have returned to old school fast food style. Order from a point person, take your number and wait over there, please bus and thank you. I’m looking forward to returning and trying the good looking clam chowder and fried oysters.

A fantastic lunch at Local Tide in the Fremont section of Seattle. There was a line out the door, but it was worth the wait! We had a wonderful family style meal, sharing everything: shrimp toast, clam chowder, a smash burger, a fresh tuna melt, and a salad.
its true what they say of the people here — truly warm!!! we came here for the momofuku chili crunch collab. after waiting for about 30 minutes, we found out that they were actually sold out, but did not post it on their social media. Of course we were very disappointed, but the service here was extremely hospitable, and Nathan did everything he could to make our dining experience in enjoyable The owner is of AAPI Heritage and a lot of these seafood dishes are Asian inspired such as our main entrée which was a black cod (kasuzuke). this was excellent — tender and lightly sweet, served with a fresh spinach sesame salad. the salmon belly dip with chips was so flavorful and addictive (and on the house)!! the salad was also great and plentiful. prices are not cheap for lunch but totally worth it.
Super funny, warm, generous people. Great vibe in the restaurant. The food is excellent quality; they are trying something a little different here and we had a fantastic meal. Standouts for us were the crab roll (fri-sun only), chowder, and fried oysters. Shrimp toast is also delicious but ate a little greasy for us (would order again tho) We saw a neighboring table order the fried dover and asked if we could order a single piece a la carte just to try; they dropped one to us on the house! Sadly we're not local, but we'd be regulars if we were.
