Stopped in on a Thursday to enjoy the beautiful environment and had a lovely time! The conservatory and its plants/flowers are stunning, but we wanted to leave this review to highlight a wonderful volunteer named Christine who made our afternoon here one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. Right upon entering, she approached us and offered to show us a few interesting plants near the main entrance. This turned into a personal tour of the entire Conservatory! For an hour, Christine took us around the various rooms and excitedly showed us everything there was to see and was the sweetest and friendliest person we could've asked to spend an afternoon with. We learned a ton about all of the different plants and their wellbeing. She was very welcoming and informative, both in regards to the Conservatory as well as Chicago in general (she gave us recommendations on places to go, things to see, and universities and careers which was great as one of us is applying to grad schools). She was a gem who went above and beyond to help make our time there extra special, and we're really grateful for that!! Thank you Christine
Gorgeoussssss. I went here on my last day in Chicago and I’m so happy I stopped by! It was beautiful. I love plants and there was clearly no shortage of them here. It was easy to get here by bus, too. It’s free but you have to do something on your phone first. I made a reservation ahead of time but you can do it there. Everyone seemed a little confused but the employees helped us.

We purchased free tickets to reserve a time slot. We spent a longer time exploring the zoo that we were a half hour late for our time slot and was able to still go in and explore. For a chilly day in Chicago it was quite warm and inviting to get some reprieve. They were setting up one of the rooms for winter flowers and plants so we could only see so much but definitely worth the visit!
Beautiful, well maintained, and free! It's takes about a half hour to walk through the various spaces and it's a great option to get out of the cold or heat for a moment. It's a great edition to walking around Lincoln Park or when visiting the zoo.
Lincoln Park Conservatory is one of our favorite spots in Chicago! It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit any time of the year. The lush greenery, tropical plants, and seasonal flower displays make every visit feel special. We love that it’s free for residents all year round — a real hidden gem in the city! Always clean, relaxing, and perfect for a quiet walk or family visit. 🌿🌸
