First time there. Very comfortable and quiet setting. Tina was a wonderful and friendly server. I had the Greek Lemon soup and a white Lake Superior fish Piccata style. It was some of the best fresh water fish I have ever had. Great food. A must when you are in Toledo.
Exceeded all of my expectations! My husband chose this charming spot for our anniversary dinner, and it turned out to be even more delightful than I could have imagined. The night was serene, with snow gently falling, creating a quiet, intimate atmosphere. For the first part of our meal, we had the entire lower level to ourselves, which made the evening feel even more special. Our server was an absolute gem—such a beautiful soul! I told my husband that I wished she lived next door to us. Her warmth and kindness shone through, and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, making our experience even more memorable. The drinks were impeccable, and the dinner was beyond perfection. I had the veal, and it was simply divine—scrumptious, tender, and cooked to perfection. It was clear that every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. My husband truly couldn’t have picked a more charming, cozy spot for such a special occasion. As an added bonus, they offer valet service, which made the whole experience even more convenient. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a difficult review to do as I realize this is a small family-owned business. I'll try to remain as objective as possible. It has been a few years since I have dined here but it was always spectacular. Last night was tragic however. We both started off with the lobster bisque which was served lukewarm. It was heavily salted but otherwise lacking any real flavor. There were a couple chunks of lobster in the bisque but you really couldn't get a taste for the lobster. Our server informed us that there was one more order of scallops left. So Martin ordered the scallops and I had the veal piccata. One of the perks of georgio's is the fact that you get a whole meal. Everything is not a la carte. Unfortunately even the side dishes were lacking. My my mixed vegetable had one spear of asparagus which was not properly trimmed. As a result I got a mouthful of wood. The broccoli appeared to have been cooked days ago as it was actually Brown and mushy. The veal piccata itself was just okay. Again, it was somewhat bland. The scallops were okay. The flavor was okay but they were someone anemic. I prefer mine with some color. To my surprise Martin only received two scallops. This dish was 45.00. The server was nice but very intrusive. A good server knows when to be present and just as important when to leave a customer alone. She did not get the latter. She did however offer to take our photograph next to the tragedy sculpture at the Valentine. The irony was not lost in this. I would be surprised if this institution lasts another year. I just got a vibe that these folks are tired and ready to be done with it all.
If you know me, then you know I'm an avid food-aholic and I try and give props to places that are just amazing! Tonight's date night dinner was at Georgios which, if you're not familiar with the city, is a hidden gem. A family owned and run restaurant with a long running history, this place hit all the feels. Great classy intimate atmosphere without feeling stiff or stuffy, phenomenal food selection and preparation thanks to their talented chef and kitchen staff, and the service is above and beyond. Did I mention the valet parking as well? I mean... seriously! All the qualities of fine dining with a reputable reputation without high city prices. Don't get me wrong, don't expect to pay $20 for a plate! But be aware that you're getting a quality sumptuous dinner that's worth the price tag associated with it. I had the specialty trout topped with lump crab and he had the grass fed veal chop. Would definitely recommend giving this lovely place a try and we will most certainly be repeat patrons ❤️
Veal piccata tasted like yesterday's overcooked pork chop. Veggies & Potatoes average. Grape leaves were fat, but good. Chicken Dijon good. Chocolate cake good. Creme Brulee Cheesecake (creamy Cheesecake with caramel sauce on top) was awesome. Pate was not for me. 2 waters. Expected great food, considering the prices...our bill = $135.00 Ambiance was strange... I would not return, other than to DoorDash a slice of cheesecake.
