Rose Mary absolutely deserves all the hype. We started with the Baby Octopus, and wow it was amazing. Perfectly tender with incredible flavor. We also shared the Street Corn, which was just as delicious and the perfect appetizer to kick off the meal. For pasta, we ordered the Cacio e Pepe, and I honestly have to say it’s the best Cacio e Pepe I’ve ever had!!! It was unbelievably creamy, rich without feeling heavy, and packed with flavor. I would come back to Rose Mary just for that dish. We also tried the Mafaldine, which was another excellent pasta, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The cocktails were just as impressive. We had the Rum Coconut #2, Bad Apple Bourbon, and Blind Rhubarber, and every single one was exceptional. Super balanced, creative, and honestly some of the best cocktails we’ve had in Chicago. Everything we ordered was outstanding, and you can really tell how much care goes into every dish. If you’re planning to visit Rose Mary, don’t skip the Baby Octopus and definitely, definitely order the Cacio e Pepe. It’s unforgettable.
What a fantastic experience we had at Rose Mary. The downside was that this was the first restaurant we had dinner at over our 5 day trip and none of the others could come close to matching this restaurant. We had a reservation and when we arrived they offered us a table or the Chef's Counter. We jumped at the opportunity to sit at the Counter and it made for a great experience! Not only enjoying the food, but having the opportunity to watch the kitchen in full effect was great. All the chefs and staff were great, would answer questions, and even provided a few additional samples. Together we ordered 6 dishes, I think 4-5 for a couple would be a good amount, depending on what items you order. We added dessert. We ordered: Zucchini Fritters, Crostino, Tuna Crudo, Gnocchi, Pork Ribs Pampanella, and Pistachio Gelato. The staff also gave us a small order of the Stracciatella to start and the strawberry Gelato as well. The food was fantastic! All 5 courses hit the mark and gave us a great variety for the meal. This place would be great for a night out with friends, a special evening with a loved one celebrating an event....anything really. But it would be best knowing the items should be shared so you can try everything. I just want to thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome, stopping to chat, making great recommendations, and making sure we had a great experience. We highly recommend going to Rose Mary!

We visited Rosemary while my brother was in town after several friends recommended it. Overall, it was good, but I was a bit underwhelmed given the hype. The Rosemary Spritz was excellent, and the tuna was the standout dish. The sauce was fantastic. The zucchini fritters were good, though not particularly memorable. Of the pastas, I enjoyed the cacio e pepe, although it was quite salty. The spaghetti was extremely al dente, almost too much so for my taste. The ribs were also just okay; the sauce was delicious, but the meat was fairly dry. The biggest downside was our seating. We were placed in the very back near the service station, and there was constant activity behind our table throughout the meal. It made the atmosphere feel a bit hectic and took away from the overall experience. Not a bad meal by any means, but it didn't quite live up to the expectations set by all the recommendations.
Oh my God! 🤯🤤🫠 We were incredibly lucky to walk in on a packed Friday night and still snag seats at the bar. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. The cocktail featuring Maraska Slivovitz was the perfect way to kick off the evening. As for the food - Michelin star worthy. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin because everything was outstanding. If I had to pick a favorite, the gnocchi takes first place, but every other dish we tried deserves a very close second. Hats off to the chef! We’ll definitely be back the next time we're in Chicago.
Rosemary has been on my list for a long time, and I'm happy to say it completely met my expectations! Everything was great—the food was amazing, and the service was excellent as well. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. There are still several items on the menu that I want to try, so I'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
