The KEX Portland was amazing. I stayed for 3 nights in a 4 mixed bunk bed room. The beds were perfect size and quite comfortable, I’d recommend adding another pillow but either way I slept through the night. The comforter was thick and perfect to keep you warm thru the night. The storage below the beds contained plenty of space for all your belongings, didn’t know what to do with all of it. It’s a great space to get to know the others in the room and have a good time. Showers/Bathrooms were fantastic, the water heated up quickly so you didn't have to wait around or it to get warm and they provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash if you forgot yours. I did not try the amenities except the bar. Each night I indulged in beverages, the bartenders were amazing and provided amazing conversations thru the night. The last night I finally had a Cesar Salad and Steak, let me tell you that some of the best food I’ve had. That place is always busy at night with locals coming for drinks, highly recommend enjoying some drinks. Excellent hotel and staff, plus its centrally located in my opinion to allow easy access to everything around Portland.
Outstanding stay at KEX Portland! Just had a wonderful stay at KEX Portland and it exceeded all expectations. The hotel is immaculately clean from the rooms to the common areas – everything felt fresh and spotless. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting guests with a smile and offering great recommendations. Our room was stylish, comfortable, and perfectly maintained with a fantastic bed and strong shower. The on-site Pacific Standard bar is a highlight – delicious cocktails, tasty food, and a lively yet welcoming vibe right downstairs. The location is ideal for exploring Portland. KEX perfectly blends cool design, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back! 10/10

I used to live in Portland. Being able to come back for a visit and stay at a hotel with a level of familiarity and hospitality was so refreshing and wonderful. Room was beautiful and curated, service was beyond helpful, and having not one-but two amazing bars upstairs and downstairs was a bonus for us. Plenty of walkable bars and restaurants near by too.. Definitely will stay here again next visit!
My wife and I had a great stay at KEX. Great location and we appreciated the prepaid parking option. It was easy to get around the city, the room room was nice and the bathroom was fantastic. We didn't get a chance to use it but knowing there was a sauna available was nice. The bar downstairs was great, had some very nice drinks our first night and enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, the bartender was great. Both Tim and Cristian at the front desk were very helpful, they made everything much easier for us. We would happily stay again.
This is my new go-to place in Portland. First, the lobby bar is such a cool space. I've been in the hotel a few nights and anytime I don't have anywhere else to be, I've loved hanging out in that lobby. Second, the rooms. I had a small queen room, then a king room (thanks Christian for the upgrade suggestion). The vibe is very rustic-comfy and the spaces were all super comfortable. Thanks also to Tim who checked me in on my first day and who (along with Christian) provided good suggestions on how to spend my time.
