We went specifically to try the monte Cristo as its my dad's favorite sandwitch and fairly difficult to find. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and my spouse ordered the avocado toast. Nothing really stood out positively or negatively. The monte Cristo was disappointing as it wasn't battered/fried, it was single layered, no powdered sugar, and it was fairly expensive at 19 dollars. The visit was overall fine with no issues, but theres just to many other good brunch places to choose this one again.
Hand an excellent first experience here! We came here for a date night and we're impressed at the detailed decor, delicious food and creative drinks! They were slightly slow on the service but it was quite a busy Saturday night. Their pasta was some of the best I've had, and may even rival Grist! Another excellent date spot in downtown, highly recommend!

Had a wonderful drink and meal here while on business. The other patrons were friendly and my server and bartender, Stasi, made my visit that much more enjoyable. Stasi's enthusiasm is contagious, and her recommendation for the salmon ravioli special was spot on. I'll be back!
First timer.. from Texas. Server was over- the- top with suggestions, to the point where when I ordered a pasta dish he suggested that I order another one instead..?? So, I did. Dish came out way too soupy& semi sweet, which was not what I wanted. Server suggested that I use salt to combat the sweetness..? If I wanted suggestions, I'll ask. I ate it anyway, because I'd been on a plane all day& exhausted. He laughed at my husband's mispronunciation of a menu item, and laughed again when we asked what a certain word meant... it meant 'bacon'. Why is it funny when someone doesn't know this garbage?? Been in the industry my whole life- this was ridiculous. Asked for a box and check, had to finally get up and look for him to get it. Atmosphere was very nice. Wish I would've got what I wanted instead.. husband asked for anejo sub on a drink and it came out with mezcal instead...
***Update 8.1.26: This was our third visit, and they finally got it right! We were invited back to experience the new summer menu, and I'm so glad we gave it another try. It was also nice to finally meet the owner in person. The pork chop with the peach chutney was absolutely out of this world! It was hands down the standout of the evening. Every dish we tried was flavorful, well prepared, and beautifully presented. I also want to give a special shoutout to our server. She was friendly, attentive, and provided exceptional service from beginning to end. Great food is important, but great service makes the entire experience, and she absolutely delivered. This visit completely changed my opinion, and I'm happy to say we'll definitely be back.**** Service was unfortunately very slow, especially considering we visited on a Wednesday around 7 PM. It took 33 minutes just to receive our drinks from the bar, and it wasn’t until we had already been waiting 25 minutes that our waitress asked if we’d like to order appetizers. By that point, the wait had already been so long that we decided not to order dinner. We were also told the steak would take at least 40 more minutes, which made the decision easy. The one bright spot was the mussels appetizer — they were absolutely delicious and well-seasoned. However, about a handful of them were closed and therefore not edible, which was disappointing. Overall, the food we were able to try had potential, but the extremely slow service and quality inconsistency made for a frustrating experience. ***update 5.26.26**** Updating my review after giving this place another visit. We went again today and had a much better overall experience. The food came out at a really good cadence, especially for a Tuesday at 6:30, and everything arrived fresh and enjoyable. The drinks were also solid. Our server was absolutely phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and really made the whole experience feel welcoming and smooth from start to finish. Overall, this visit was a big improvement from our first experience, which is why I’m updating my rating to 4 stars. While the some of the food still isn’t necessarily my personal favorite, that may just come down to taste preference. Everything else about the visit — especially the service and pacing — was excellent, and I really appreciated the experience this time around. I look forward to coming back to try new menu items!
