When you're here, it's easy to forget you're in the city! Plenty of room for walking, jogging, open fields, etc. They even have a driving range and a dog park. Just an FYI, you can't bring your dog into the Japanese garden, but there's plenty of other places to walk.
Visited shortly for Lifetime Half Marathon, great spot with nice views and very walkable. Overall good race experience; from ride sharing arrival and quick warm-up jog to corral, to race finish and post-race party. Would return for leisure and sightseeing.
A beautiful place to spend the day. Japanese Gardens, Museum of Science and Industry, nature trails, and coming soon the Obama Presidential Library.

A real iconic spot for the locals. As for just the landscape alone, things here are massive beyond real-estate! That, is not all. ** The park is filled with many uniquely, detailed art sculptures as well. To boot, there are even varying trailways available. These pathways double, also while providing spectacular views. A park, such as Jackson Park Chicago/Midway, does have its own set of bold golf courses, open to the public. ** No worries golf here is just the beggining there is also, a newly renovated hoops court to unwind on. Even if hoop dreams have not gotten the juices going yet, by way of enticement. Go --on look further (Then) there is the harbor that totes of experiencing fine boating adventures. These alone expound upon much amazing placements --- for here, really! All out enjoyment, 100%. A family of sort is also able to plan great events like proms to have a day out in the park over. Gloom does not have to settle in either not under any circumstance. Hey go out about there often simply to give any day an additional jolt. All of the highest points around with excess availability_ in space, trails, even eateries /adjacent _ go fish some too, if needed. Do also be mindful to respect those types of grounds, at all cost as they are protected 100%. With that, do remember to bring a date/friend as well; certainly, loved ones. Via this world renowned palace known as Jackson Park, enjoy the day _ go home or stay awhile longer, if permissible. *'Remember possibilities are only endless if that type of activity is (only) too, truly probable, stay focused. ** All, go get out in the park today please enjoy!!
Beautiful view place. Shallow place of the lake safe for kids, no stones. A bit disappointing was some of the life guards were not letting to swim further even water was to waist line..... But overall, it's a good beach. Near the beach cafe where you can eat and have cold drinks and beverages.
