I had a very frustrating experience with this practice. The office is extremely unresponsive, and after reading other reviews, it seems my situation is not unique especially when you look up the Dr for this practice (Dr. Mark Padolsky). The pricing felt arbitrary and excessively high ($5680), the doctor quoted a total on the spot, and the subsequent “breakdown” appeared to be retroactively constructed to support that figure, rather than clearly explain how the amount was determined. I was verbally informed of a 48-hour cancellation policy for treatment; however, despite canceling within 24 hours, it was extremely difficult to get any acknowledgment. The office was unresponsive—I sent approximately five emails confirming my cancellation and requesting updates and received no reply. I ultimately had to escalate the issue directly through the Cherry financing company. I was still charged for multiple items, including a soft guard that was processed and shipped after my cancellation. USPS tracking showed it being shipped 4 office days after my cancellation and attempted signed delivery 6 days after. To make matters worse, after dispute, they added a $95 cancellation fee for an appointment that was booked the same day for the following day—while claiming I was required to give 72 hours’ notice. That policy is simply not realistic or reasonable in this situation. Additionally, the hygiene standards in the office were concerning. That is a list on its own. Overall, this experience raised serious red flags. I’ve reported the matter to the Georgia Consumer Protection Division and the Board of Dentistry. I would strongly recommend others proceed with caution.

First off, kudos to the few dental offices that are open on weekends and treat emergencies as if they are ACTUAL emergencies! This office was kind and professional. They answered all of my questions right down to the money and I was seen almost immediately. Kayla at the front desk was so knowledgeable and helpful. The assistant Benjamin carried great conversation. It really helped make the room less tense because c’mon who enjoys an extraction? Thank you so much to Dr. Padolsky and his team. The process was so quick and painless. I am so appreciative. I’ll be booking my further extractions and appointments with them!
The doctor is a joke. I should have known better than to trust my dental care at a place where the dentist and his assistant have bad teeth themselves. He criticized everything about me, my weight, my skin, the fact that I have seasonal allergies, the way my face looked. He claimed all of that would change and made promises about how different I'd look afterwards. Every appointment they measure your jaw movement, and the assistant uses A PENCIL.ON YOUR TEETH. to do so. Forced to take out $5k in credit to pay for everything, and felt very pressured to accept his treatment plans. I was desperate and so hopeful that he'd help me. 10 minute appointments or less. Sent home packets about how to keep allergens out of my home (which has nothing to do with my tmj.) Very disappointed i was referred here, and that I felt forced and uncomfortable about saying no.
Dr Padolsky is probably one of the wisest people I've ever met. He was able to help me with my jaw issue and mentioned other things that may be concerning in the future. We drove from 2 hours away and they made sure to have a very flexible schedule. Overall I'm happy with my treatment and I appreciate everyone who helped me get to this point.
As a dental professional - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I had a very concerning experience at TMD Institute (Also listed as Atlanta Dental Group). Despite the name, it felt more like a vacant dental office. There were “For Sale” signs outside, the AC was broken, and even the x-ray apron was unusable. I was instructed to “hug” it instead of it being properly secured. I honestly wanted to walk out immediately, but they require patients to pre-pay and the fee is non-refundable, so I felt pressured to stay. During my exam, the doctor touched my face after putting his fingers in my mouth without changing gloves, and while reviewing images, an inappropriate bikini photo appeared on his computer. The treatment plan felt pre-packaged, and I was pressured to sign up for financing right away. When I asked for time to discuss with my husband, the doctor became frustrated and told me, “Every time you look in the mirror you will think of me.” I also noticed HIPAA violations, cleanliness issues, and a lack of individualized care. Overall, I left feeling uncomfortable, pressured, and questioning the professionalism of this practice.
