We liked the suite with the door between rooms and the front desk staff were nice and helpful. The first room was a tiny single and its fridge was full of the last guest’s spoiled food. The second room had a dirty sock under the sofa, so their housekeeping protocols need improvement.
Check in was a breeze. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The pool was a little chilly, but the hot tub was very relaxing. We were no more than 20 minutes from everything, and that was a surprise bonus. I and my daughter felt very safe. I would definitely stay there again and recommend them to anyone visiting Phoenix.
This place was perfect for me and my wife. Very peaceful beautiful courtyard. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Wonderful weather while visiting. The staff here is very friendly.

It is obvious that this is an older hotel. It is a great place to sleep when I am there for training I feel safe in that area and the service from the front desk is always exceptional. This was my second stay and when I got to the room that they had given to me I immediately started having problems with my allergies as I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke the room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I went to the desk and let them know and they quickly got me a different room.
This property is a former Courtyard Marriott, so it has that look and feel. The hotel is fairly well maintained but does show a little wear in places. Housekeeping happens once a week (7 days). That is a little extreme as most places have returned to housekeeping service every 2 - 3 days. While you can phone for a "refresh" (towels, coffee supplies), 7 days is a bit much for a non-extended stay brand. The value proposition for the hotel is its low price and location. You will be hard pressed to find a lower cost hotel in the Biltmore area. Out of three people I interacted with at the front desk, one seemed interested in their job. The other two - not so much. The property is safe, clean, and in a great location with lots of retail and restaurants at the front door and within walking distance. Both covered and exposed parking lot options are available for your vehicle - and they are both FREE. This only adds to the value-orientation of the Sonesta Select Camelback.
