Another fantastic experience at Ulmer’s. I think this is their 11th location in the Cincinnati (Short Vine) / Northern Kentucky area and this crew is probably the best I’ve ever met. Between Joseph, Gabe, and the technician Ethan, they took great care of Emily‘s 2017 RX 450 hybrid that had a 12 V battery failure. Tested, explained everything to me along the way, then replaced it. I would never take our vehicles anywhere but Ulmer’s! Thanks Ethan!
I’ve been going to Star and now Ulmer’s for yeaaars. Their staff consistently goes above & beyond!! They’re genuine, fair, and super helpful at every visit!!! I recommend them all the time- It’s so hard to find legit places like this anymore. Extra shout-out to Gabe for ensuring we’re customers for life!
*TAKE YOUR CAR TO JIM STEVENS FOREIGN CAR SERVICE DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI AND ASK FOR DAN* We took our car to Jim Stevens and told him the air conditioning was shot. Dan checked it out for us and told us that same day that we need a new air compressor. Quote for parts and labor was $950. Unfortunately we needed it for the weekend & Dan was going on vacation. We then took it here and told them the car needs a new air compressor. It took them two days to get back with us and they predatorily emailed us an entire list of things supposedly wrong with our car. They quoted us $2400 JUST to fix AC compressor! We told him the other quote we got and he said yeah there’s no way they could match that. They also charged us $91 to diagnose the issue that we already had diagnosed and told them about. Ulmer’s is real polished and business savvy, but Jim Stevens has regular car mechanics with no fluff or predatory practices. This place has lost its integrity probably in pursuit of money rather than pouring back into the community. Just drive by both places and see which one looks more authentic to you. Also: look at the reviews online for Jim’s.

Highly recommend Ulmer’s. I’ve never been to a mechanic that was more organized and communicative. They sent pictures of all repair needs and an easy approval process. They also lent me a loaner car free of charge for a couple days that ran great. I’m extremely pleased. Their pricing is fair and their customer service is friendly.
The service here was amazing! Had engine issues, brought my car in around 11 and they had it fixed by the end of the day. I picked up my car and they stayed 5 minutes after close so I could drive it out of there day of. Awesome service, the staff on Short Vine really went above and beyond for me.
