Made the walk over to the Geographical Center from our hotel on a beautiful sunny morning. Stepping onto the marker gave an instant boost to the imagination when you realize how large the city of Phoenix is. A cup of coffee from Bad Ass was a good addition to the experience.
As a map nerd, I’m stoked to start checking these out for each state. But it’s not clear which point is the true center, there are two crack lines. I need clarity!!
This does t make any sense to me unless they are referring to just the downtown portion of the city, as Phoenix spreads out only about 10-15 miles south to the Loop 202 south of South Mountain but extends about 20-25 miles north to north of Happy Valley Rd. But we at ice cream from the Yard House there today and it was a good experience.

You'll see this when you cross the concrete path that divides the Cityscape plaza. Stand facing the set of steps by EOS (and its big TV screen on the building) and as you walk toward those steps, you'll see this marking on the floor before the MetroRail tracks. It seems to be of the phoenix bird. I would not recommend driving out to see this, but it's nice to see if it you are already in the Cityscape plaza. As for parking, you can just park in the Cityscape garage- and there's accessible spots there.
This is definitely a cool piece when checking out downtown Phoenix.
