Marcel exceeded every expectation and made my 28th birthday one I’ll never forget. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our servers, Shy and Laura, were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire evening. They consistently checked in on us, making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. Their hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. One thing that really stood out was how accommodating the staff was. We had a specific request regardinf our seats and they handled it without hesitation, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here. As for the food, it was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and packed with incredible flavor. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail were evident in every bite. This is truly a restaurant where you can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each plate. What made the evening even more memorable was how special the staff made my birthday feel. Between the attentive service, warm personalities, and overall atmosphere, it felt like they genuinely cared about making the celebration unforgettable. If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience in Atlanta with outstanding food, impeccable service, and a team that goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend Marcel enough. First and foremost, the service and atmosphere were top-notch. I walked in without a reservation and asked to sit at the bar, where I was seated immediately. The bartenders were outstanding—they were attentive, made great recommendations, and took excellent care of me throughout the meal. I ordered the ribeye with the cacio e pepe. I was a little surprised when a bowl of French fries arrived with my steak, but it turned out to be a simple button-push mistake that the staff quickly recognized and corrected. They handled it professionally, and I appreciated how promptly they fixed it. The ribeye was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The cacio e pepe was phenomenal, and even the fries ended up being delicious. The bread service was also excellent. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. Out of the three steakhouses I’ve tried while in Atlanta, this has been my favorite so far. I’ll definitely be back.
Bought a porterhouse to share. Perfectly tender and juicy. For sides we got potatoes dauphine which was deliciously creamy and flavorfull. Also had the burrato salad which I didn't enjoy too much. Both sauces were good, but not great. Service was top notch both on recommendations and execution. However noting that we came 5:30 and our main course didn't come before 7. We also got ushered to the very back of the place even though there were places in the main room, which btw was amazing. Atmosphere and ambianse and interior decoration is on point and really feels like... Hard to say, but it's nice :) Finished with baked Alaska which was really nice as well. Here is my gripe with American restaurants though... If you are so generous with the main course portions, why is every dessert 1000kcal mega portions as well?
Among the best meals we’ve ever had in our lives anywhere on the globe. Following their recommendation, we ordered the beef Wellington a day or two in advance and it was simply amazing. The tenderloin was the incredibly flavorful and tender and the crust was superb. There are two separate bread flights served prior to dinner, and they were both extraordinary. We had dessert as it was a family members birthday and everything was just as good as the main course. Anyone who hasn’t had baked Alaska really needs to try it at Marcel. The whole process is spectacular, and it was delicious. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly and very good at their roles. Excellent service. Don’t let the relatively small entrance fool you - inside is a large restaurant with beautiful leather seating and decor.
I’ve been to Marcel’s several times but this was my husband’s first time! I was a little skeptical because it was Father’s Day. We all know that when it’s a holiday or some type of celebration, restaurants are swamped and sometimes service and food quality suffers. However, that was not the case. The food, the service, and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was simply amazing! From the first bite of our salad to the last bite of our dessert we were completely satisfied on every level. We will definitely be returning in the near future!
