A friend and I stopped by Gasoline Alley for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised with our meals and the cute atmosphere. (I came to this cute restaurant with my teen daughter probably 20 years ago or more and barely remembered what it looked like.) My friend loved her Chef Salad and I loved my Tuna Melt and fries! I think my hubby and I will have to come here soon - he will love it here! 😋
I had this place on my list to try but it is a bit out of my way. I finally gave it a try and ended up here on a Saturday afternoon during college football game and the place was packed. I got the last seat at the bar so I didn't have to wait for a table. The restaurant was decked out with many items that lined up with the name Gasoline Alley. The place is not large but the size of a regular bar. I counted 11 tables and a long counter bar. This is a popular spot based on the reviews. The menu offers typical bar food you would expect. I tried the corn chowder and it was good. I would get it again. I also had the Reuben with fries. The Reuben was good but the fries were not. There were some regular fries on top but most were scraps underneath. The service was as typical for a bar during a football game. The bare minimum of getting drink order and food. Then check with you after food arrives and nothing after. There is a lot of food on the menu I would like to try but not sure I will be back as it is out of my way.

Stopped in for lunch after hearing a few friends talk about this spot, and I am so glad I did. The place has that cozy, old-school charm where the food feels homemade and the staff make you feel right at home. I started with the chicken noodle soup, which was rich, flavorful, and perfect for a chilly day. The sandwich I ordered was huge, packed with layers of meat and fresh ingredients that made every bite worth it. What really surprised me was their house-made chips and dipping sauce — the kind of combination that keeps you reaching for one more. Even when the place got busy, the service stayed friendly and fast. It is easy to see why people keep coming back here. The food has heart, the atmosphere has character, and the whole experience just leaves you smiling.
Very good lunch , quick and tasty brought a few friends with me this time and we all enjoyed our food ☺️ I went with the Pastrami today and a bowl of clam chowder. Delicious as always.
It was an amazing place the food was amazing, I loved my burger and fries and I got this lemon cake totally outstanding!
