🚫 WARNING: DO NOT GO TO MOE TOWN AUTO. READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. If I could give zero stars, I would. I leave reviews when my experience is either overwhelmingly good or overwhelmingly awful, and this one was beyond awful. My experience with Moe Town Auto was unprofessional, deceptive, and exhausting from start to finish, and I feel obligated to warn others. I came here because they were open late on Saturday and had mostly positive reviews. I now understand how those reviews must have been written before people saw what really goes on. This was a four-day nightmare. I called first, and the owner, Moe, answered the phone with no greeting and an attitude. I brushed it off and gave them a chance. When I arrived, no one greeted me. Moe sat at a desk watching videos and didn’t acknowledge me until I spoke first. I explained everything wrong with my car. He quoted me $1,000, then dropped it to $800, which should have been my first red flag. He said his credit card machine was broken and that he only accepted CashApp or Zelle. When I tried to pay through CashApp, the transaction was flagged for potential fraud. I went through with it anyway because I wanted my car fixed. I have proof of every dollar I paid, $712 total, with ATM receipts, screenshots, and CashApp notes clearly showing I paid in full. Once they had my money, everything went downhill. I sat in that garage for over three hours watching random people in flip-flops and shorts walk around my car doing almost nothing. I have photos and video proof showing that nobody was doing real work. The shop looked more like a hangout than a place of business. They sprayed something on my engine, wiped it off, turned my radio up to “prove” it worked, and told me everything was fixed. When I questioned them, Moe said, “Come back tomorrow.” So I did. Then again Monday. Then Tuesday. Then Wednesday. Four trips in total. Every day there was a new excuse. First he said parts were coming from Indiana, then from Ohio. Then one day he FaceTimed me from what looked like a hospital room saying he “hurt his eye” and to “come back tomorrow.” After four separate trips and four different excuses, my car still wasn’t fixed. To this day, I have no receipt (he claimed his computer was broken), no documentation of what parts were supposedly replaced, and a car that now drives worse than when I brought it in. It is louder, shakier, and all the same warning lights are still on. He even admitted he “sealed” the valve cover gasket instead of replacing it, even though I paid for a full replacement. I have recordings of our conversations, pictures of the empty shop, CashApp proof, and ATM receipts. Everything is documented. Moe Town Auto is not just unprofessional, it is dishonest. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not go here. There’s nothing honest about a mechanic who takes full payment up front, avoids giving receipts, and strings you along for days with excuses and lies. I trusted this man because he looked me in the eye and spoke like a hardworking family man. I truly believed he was going to do right by me. He didn’t. I was taken advantage of, and I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did. I will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies. If you have experienced something similar here, I encourage you to do the same. Protect yourself. Learn from my mistake. Stay far, far away from Moe Town Auto. ~A customer who gave them every chance to do the right thing and got burned anyway.

Super professional mechanic shop. They inspected the car for free. They identify the issue within a few minutes. Fix my car within an hour. Super fair pricing and professional, treatment, and friendly staff. I had an enlightenment issue and noise coming out of the front end of the car. The car left the shop feels like new

Was in the us for one day could not stay in the town for more than one day due to job… My car broke down in the middle of the road on sat nobody in detroit would work on it … but they answered all my stupid questions towed the car … made it work the car was up and running by sunday evening …. They were very reasonable with the price and i really really appreciate their kind gesture of calling me to check if i reached home safe or not . Bad experience at the shop motor was put in that was no good bad business in the hood they should be shut down by the city
I am so frustrated with this car repair shop. I have had to take my Nissan back to this shop 5 times since January for the SAME THING!! Anytime they have my car they never call me I always have to be the one to call them to try and get an update. Its very unprofessional to do business this way and if You can’t fix the car properly then just say that! My insurance company paid thousands to get my “transmission” fixed. Yet here we are again and my car has been back in their shop since Thursday of last week!! Do you think they have called me to update me or sent me the money for a rental car? NOPE!
