Incredible restaurant in OTR. The ambiance is nice and the service and food were both top notch. Mark explained the menu thoroughly and helped us select some of our dishes. We started with the whipped ricotta which was delicious. More garlicky than most other whipped ricottas but that put it over the edge for me. Our table of 4 ordered 3 pastas and 2 meats and we had plenty of food (and leftovers). Our favorite pastas were the Limone and the Spicy Vodka. The Limone had a zesty freshness that paired perfectly with the veal cutlets we ordered. The breadcrumbs served on the pasta also added a unique but welcomed texture. The spicy vodka was everything you want a vodka sauce to be, just with a little kick. The chicken dish was good as well, although the fennel sausage stole the show on that plate for me. The Sunday sauce was good, but a bit one note for me and I preferred all the other dishes we tried. For dessert we had an Affogato with their Vanilla Mascarpone gelato. They also brought out almond cookies which paired perfectly with the espresso and gelato. Overall this was an excellent dining experience and I highly recommend Pepp & Dolores for a great meal in OTR.
Our experience at Pepp & Dolores was absolutely incredible, and Mark made it unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, he brought such a charming, funny, and welcoming energy to our table. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had the perfect dining experience. Mark walked us through the menu with great recommendations and was hilariously torn between the mushroom pasta and the corn and crab dish himself—which honestly made us even more excited to order. Every suggestion he made was spot on. He was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, always checking in at just the right moments, keeping our drinks filled, clearing plates promptly, and making sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. Endless refills, seamless service, and such a positive attitude—he truly did it all. Mark made the whole evening feel special, and his enthusiasm was contagious. I swear his positive energy somehow made the food taste even better. We’ll absolutely be back, and we hope we’re lucky enough to have him as our server again!

Went on a weeknight and waited about 20 minutes for a table on the patio. The weather was great, so we were happy to sit outside. Our server was very sweet, attentive, and had great recommendations. We started with the house-made ricotta and the artichoke. The ricotta was rich and one of my favorite dishes of the night, and the artichoke was unique with a really good sauce. The Limone Pasta ended up being our favorite entrée. We were debating whether to get dessert, but we were too full by the end of the meal. Our server surprised us with two cookies on the house, which was such a nice touch. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner with great food and service.
Absolutely amazing! Everything from the food to the service was phenomenal. We started with the housemade ricotta with sourdough bread and a wedge salad. Both were delicious! We then had the veal cutlets and meatballs, followed by our pasta dishes the limone and pomodoro. And again, all of it was delicious! We have zero complaints about the food. A few tips for planning your visit: -reservations fill up pretty far in advance -each person will probably want to order at least 3 plates. -they do not offer dessert -parking is not free, however there is a large pay lot directly across from the restaurant I highly recommend visiting!!
We recently dined here with my mother in law and her husband. The food was delicious! We had the arancini and cucumbers to start. Arancini was good (preferred Mamas on Main) and the cucumbers had a lot of flavor (small kick to them, so heads up). The main dishes were very tasty! My MIL got the Limone and loved it, her husband got the Sunday Sauce (he liked it, but didn’t seem to love it), my wife got the pomodoro and loved it, and I got the butternut squash and mascarpone and WOW. We shared 1L of the toscana. As someone who likes a full bodied red, this one wasn’t my favorite. It was served chill and had a slight bit of carbonation feel. Not bad for the price and being a full liter, but not my favorite. Our server was incredible and made good recommendations. Overall we had a great night and will be back at some point!
