Timbrook puts every hotel or Airbnb we have ever stayed at, to shame. This place has a heartbeat. It is warm, cozy and downright blissful. The property is perfect if you’re looking for beautiful landscape. The inside is clean and vibrant. The hospitality was by far something we haven’t experienced in many places. Paula was our host this weekend and she made us feel like we were staying with family. She was EXTREMELY accommodating and inviting. We hope to see her again because we will definitely be back.
If you are looking for a relaxing oasis, you don't need to look further because The Timbrook Guesthouse is a slice of paradise. Jill and Peter are very hospitable and make wonderful hosts. I can tell presentation and details are important to them. I was impressed by breakfast. I have dietary issues, which often make meals away from home challenging for me, but they went above and beyond making sure breakfast was special for me too. You have to meet the parrots. They have such interesting personalities, and a couple of them are talkers. They also have chickens. We went during a winter month so we plan to return when it is warmer to be able to swim in the pool and use the hot tub.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Timbrook Guesthouse and it did not disappoint! Jill and Peter were amazing hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable in this beautiful home. They have a lovely pool and the hot tub was awesome. The grounds are gorgeous with so many places to just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Our room was beautiful with a great view. The breakfast was top notch made with fresh eggs from their chickens! The staff were delightful. Even though we were not far from home, we felt as though we were in another world. Such a glorious sanctuary. It was just what we needed. We highly recommend the Timbrook. Thank you Jill and Peter for a great stay!
I would say that "romantic" is a bit misleading. I booked a night here to celebrate our anniversary with my wife. We were honestly a bit creeped out by the place. It has the vibes of an old haunted manor, not an intimate romantic getaway. The walls are paper thin, and we could hear the other guests all around us. We felt the need to whisper the whole time we were there. I would warn any younger couples out there against staying here if you're after a truly intimate, romantic experience. This place is more like visiting your quirky grandmother's house. When we were leaving, I was approached at the door and asked to pay right then and there with a debit reader, which had one of those screens that prompts you to leave gratuity at different percentages. In my hurry to get heading back home, I accidentally selected the 20% option, which added a $96.00 tip to an over $600.00 bill. There was no option on the following screen to go back, and I wasn't about to say out loud in front of my wife and other guests, "oh, I don't want to tip you, can you please show me how to undo that?" Lol. 100% my own fault. But, for future reference, it would be nice if guests could simply be charged with the card info they upload to the site in advance. This is what I was hoping for and it's more discrete. I felt ever so slightly cheated by the exchange, but again, I recognize that it's my own fault. In all fairness, there's really nothing wrong with this place. Obviously a lot of people have stayed here and enjoyed it. The majority of reviews here are positive. It's an interesting property that a lot of people will find unique and memorable. I'm just putting this out there so that others can learn from my mistakes. Do your research thoroughly, and don't book impulsively.
My husband and I stayed one night during our anniversary trip. We were so pleased with the property. It was easy to get to and close to everything but after a busy week of activity we chose to relax and enjoy the pool and grounds. The day was a bit cloudy raining on and off but we loved sitting in the gazebo and taking in our lovely surroundings until it stopped. The hot tub was so relaxing surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscape. Our room was beautiful. Everything was immaculate. Coffee and tea were always available but cold beverage offerings would have been a nice addition. We do look forward to staying here again.
