Great shop! Rachel was so sweet and helpful. My issue ended up being something easily resolved and they were honest and didn't try to upsell. Will definitely go back to them again if I have any future issues
I highly recommend this garage! Staff is friendly & honest. FAIR PRICING. Took my car in thinking I needed a new clutch. A sweet women "Rachel" called me a day later, to inform me it was only a cylinoid that was leaking. The mechanic also replace one of my motor mounds (it was almost gone) since he was already repairing the leaking cylinoid. He didn't charge me for the labor, just the part. They had my car a total of 2 days and I was out the door paying only $425 . My car runs like a champ and feels much safer to drive. I am completely satisfied. "Thank you" Rachel & Mr Mechanic!! I will definitely bring my car here again if ever needed.

Excellent customer service! They did not try to sell me on things to repair with my car but displayed honesty! I would trust them to take good care of our vehicles in the future as well.
This is the best auto repair shop I’ve been to in Nashville. They are super accommodating and transparent. I always feel like I’m kept in the loop whenever I bring my car here. Rachel is such a nice person to speak with and there’s no “gotcha” fees or upcharges. I’ve been coming here for almost 4 years and still recommend to anyone I meet.
I took my cars to the same little shop for over a decade. When the owner told me he was retiring, I asked him to recommend a new shop and, without hesitation, he said Bass Ewing. These guys are the best kind of old school auto shop. They won’t try to upsell you on unnecessary services or cut corners by doing half-assed work. They gave me an honest estimate, told me what needed to be fixed now and what could wait, and they did the work they said they would do, correctly, in the timeframe they told me, for the price they quoted me. No bullshit. If you really searched, I suppose you might be able to find another shop that would do the same work for a little bit cheaper, but you’ll get what you pay for. Personally, that’s not a trade off I’m willing to make with the car i drive my kids to school in, every day. I won’t take my cars anywhere else.
