My partner & I had a great stay at Hotel Riu Plaza Chicago. The price was very reasonable for two nights. The location is perfect — everything is within walking distance. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, and having someone assist with our bags and bring them up to our room was such a helpful touch! We stayed in a Deluxe King room, which was spacious, modern, and felt very new. The hotel itself is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent: a large buffet, and the staff seated us and provided attentive service, which made the experience feel a bit elevated… (My only small suggestion would be to add extra tissue boxes in the room and additional trash liners outside of the bathroom.) Other than that, I would absolutely stay here again! Great room, great service, and great location.
Would highly recommend Hotel Riu Chicago! The location is unbeatable—right off the Magnificent Mile and close to everything. Our room was spotless, impressively spacious, and offered some really great views of the city skyline. As a bonus, the gym was actually clean and well-equipped with a good variety of machines and weights, which isn't always easy to find. A fantastic stay from start to finish!

This was an amazing trip since we entered the hotel from Noah, their Bell Hop, helped us with our luggage from outside all the way to our room. Their check in desk greets you with open arms. They are amazing and service is amazing. We stayed there for 5 nights and their cleanliness was top notch. Everything around the hotel was walking distance and we also took the trains/buses for the experience as we have a toddler. Their buffet breakfast that is included was amazing and has different servings every day. We checked out late as our flight was later and they have a taxi already ready to take you with a flat rate of $55. Amazing, amazing, amazing! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
I went to Chicago this past January and stayed at the Riu Plaza Chicago, and I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. From check-in to the location, ambiance, and excellent breakfast, the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with a refrigerator and coffee machine. The mattress and pillows were perfect, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. The bathroom is large, and the shower pressure was incredible. Breakfast was buffet-style with a wide variety of options. There was no long line to get in, and the service was efficient and friendly. The location is unbeatable, surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. Prices are very reasonable for the value, and the area feels safe and easy to walk around. This is definitely my new go-to hotel in Chicago. 💙
Me and wife stayed here for restaraunt week and loved it! Great location, plenty of parking garages close by if you want to rent a car as well. Very nice and clean on the inside, up to date and great interior. Plenty of elevators so you’re not waiting all the time like some other places. The rooms are very spacious and nicely designed, quiet as well didn’t hear much outside noise. The breakfast is great, very European buffet style. My only complaints was they didn’t have valet and you can’t take a to go cup for coffee from the breakfast haha thought that was kinda weird. But at least you have a coffee maker in your room and free bottles of water so not entirely bad just more odd. Otherwise this place is great, prob the best I’ve stayed in downtown Chicago for sure.
