Such a beautiful place to tour with lots of beautiful flora. You’ll be surrounded in a basket of nature, with a great walking trail throughout. Some uneven terrain, so be sure to pack your walking shoes, and a bottle of water. My family and I went for a post-Mother’s Day outing, which was turned out to be a beautiful, sunny afternoon, with little to no people on the trail. Took a lot of cool snapshots along the way! I’d absolutely visit again and again, and certainly recommend others to check it out. Parking was a bit tricky at first, but we later saw the parking garage and paid to park.
A beautiful and enchanting spot on the UNC Charlotte campus. The gardens are well maintained, with a great mix of outdoor paths and the McMillan Greenhouse featuring tropical plants and orchids. Free admission, informative signage, and a fairy tale-like atmosphere make this a perfect place for a relaxing walk or quick escape from the city. The Polly Rogers Memorial Sensory Garden and Asian Garden are a must see.

I spent the day exploring these beautiful well kept grounds. First was the greenhouse. Various plant life in separately divided rooms such as orchids n cactus, citrus rooms. The paths across the street lead to Japanese gardens, Native Woodlands, vegetable gardens, various pathways leading to a cabin, natural play areas, creeks n many kinds of foot bridges. Had an amazing time n the fragrance in the air was sweet n woodsy.
UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens & Greenhouse Very nice place with a great variety of plants, especially the tropical ones in the greenhouse 🌿. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for plant lovers. I didn’t see the dinosaur this time, though. I hope it comes back soon!
It felt relaxing. Lots of shade to sit in when you got there. They had an interactive area with xylophone and other musical devices to thump and play. Along with kind of a kids area. Wish it had more plants labeled, but it was a lovely way to spend an hour or two. Went with my mom and made sure we dressed up just because. Bought several native plants from their plant sale that you could see in their garden. Make sure to look up the parking lot to park in. You do have to pay a fee per hour.
