Morgan at Nancy’s Hustle really made my birthday dinner special. I made a reservation for one to celebrate my birthday and came in with high expectations but somehow left even more impressed. I had to reschedule my original reservation because I was running late, and the staff was super accommodating. I arrived about 30 minutes later on a Tuesday evening and was seated immediately. Once I sat down, Morgan came right over and made me feel welcome. I told her how excited I was to finally try the Nancy Cakes and that I hadn’t eaten all day because I didn’t want to mess up my palate. I was torn between the burger and the chicken, but went with the chicken and I’m so glad I did. It was really flavorful. The beef fat sticky rice was perfect, and the drink I asked for (even though it wasn’t on the menu) was so good. Morgan gave great recommendations and clearly knew the menu inside and out. I also shared that I recently lost someone close to me, and she showed so much kindness and care, it meant more than she probably knows. The food, the staff, and the vibe were all top tier. Nancy’s Hustle does not miss.
i've been wanting to come here since they opened back in 2017 & am SO HAPPY I FINALLY MADE IT!!! it's definitely one of the top restaurants i've been to in houston so far. every aspect of this place from the ambiance to service is obviously very well thought out, and despite the restaurant being (rightfully) packed, we never felt rushed or congested. the menu has a variety of interesting items -- a little bit of everything for everyone. this place is for both foodies AND the casual eater. we ordered the bluefin tuna belly (a must), roasted mushrooms (a must), cheeseburger, & nancy's cakes. there's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but you probably have a better shot at street parking!

My wife has been wanting to try out this restaurant for a while and it did not disappoint. We ordered Nancy's Cakes with cultured butter, smoked trout roe & chives, parmesan and pancetta croquettes. They were both excellent. These two plates alone were really enough but we didn't stop there. We added the white wheat sourdough with again, cultured butter. That bread was already good and crispy on its own but this cultured butter definitely makes anything better. For the main dish, we ordered the cheeseburger and shared it. The meat was cooked just to our liking, medium. Unfortunately, there was no more room for dessert. The service was very good as well. The staff shared the responsibilities and we definitely felt taken care of. The only negative I can think of is the sound level. It was definitely loud inside. But that would not keep us from coming back again.
Incredible food at Nancy’s Hustle!! I went early on a Tuesday night. When I arrived the restaurant had about 7 parties already seated! As the night progressed, the restaurant filled up quickly. The winter margarita drink was very nice. The martini like drink was too strong and I’m not even sure what alcohol they used. The lamb dumplings are a must try! Not too big, not too small, deep flavor. The Nancy cakes are good but not necessary to order every time you dine here. Trust me, you will be back!! The burger is actually excellent! Flavorful patties, crunchy bun, and savory salty flavor. I also was spoiled and tried the ribeye. Wow wow wow. If you have anything to celebrate- even making it to this restaurant you should definelry get the ribeye. The steak was tender and the only reason you needed to chew was because the cuts were Texas size thick! Define ley worth the market price- whatever it is. Absolutely would recommend and would retune. Thank you Nancy’s!!
Drinks: old fashioned and a special wintery margarita (“Good” something. It was really good and refreshing!) Starters: Bluefin Tuna Belly, Nancy Cakes. Entrees: Butternut Squash Tortellini, Grilled Ribeye with Sticky Rice. Dessert: Toasted Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. We have been to Nancy’s twice and gotten the ribeye both times. We love it! There are plenty of places to get an expensive steak in Houston, but Nancy’s is our favorite. The atmosphere and dining experience is unique with different charms than you can find elsewhere. The sauce they use on the steak as well as the sticky rice with all its additional flavors to eat in combination with it make it truly stand out. We also have enjoyed the Nancy Cakes twice now and loved them both times. Combined with the Tuna Belly, they make an excellent combo. The tuna belly itself was insane. The toast it comes on added the perfect crunch to the buttery melt in your melt texture of the tuna. The tortellini was amazing, with a perfect brown butter sauce that left the flavor of the pecans and the squash shining through, and the pasta was cooked to perfection, not mushy at all. The ice cream was such a great finisher, a shocking surprise of what great chefs can do with vanilla ice cream. Not boring nor something to skip over on the menu at all! The spice in there with the toasted almonds was just the right way to finish out the night and left me appreciating all that Nancy’s Hustle does to provide great and exciting food. We also got fries, which were really yummy and crispy, we were just too full. But we took them to go and are still eating them. Saying this as a testament! We would totally stop in just for fries and a cocktail sometime! Also, we wanted to shout out our server, Morgan, who somehow delivered top tier service on New Year’s Eve night! All of the staff were excellent and even accommodated a special request, which we were more than willing to work with them and wait for. They kept us up to date with constant communication and made sure we got drinks while we waited at their cute entrance. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you, Nancy’s!
