Are you in the Akron Ohio area and looking for a very fun place to go with your family? Then I’d say the Akron Zoo is a great idea! We have the yearly pass and frequent this Zoo a lot during the warm months of the year. It’s a great place for our kids to go and burn off some energy while also having a great time! Most of these pictures are showcasing the most recent exhibit which features 30 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs scattered throughout the park. The exhibit is already open and fully running. Not sure how long this event lasts but I’d check it out, the dinosaurs make realistic noises while also moving. Very cool even if you are an adult! When events like this become available those with a zoo membership are given the option to check it out a day earlier before it’s available for non-zoo members so that’s a cool perk to becoming a member. The staff here is always knowledgeable and can tell you each of the animals names and a lot about them. We all had a great time and plan to visit this Akron Zoo many times this summer! They were also giving out mini melts or dipper dots for free which was a bonus along with free carousel rides which are things you usually have to pay for. They also have a very large food court and plenty of bathrooms along the way during your zoo adventures.
Our "hometown zoo" is a really nice place to spend time with our little ones. Animals have spacious, natural habitats. There is a carousel and also a mini train ride, and a well appointed gift shop too. It's a smaller zoo as befits the area. Go to a bigger city if you need more.

It's a good zoo for the price. The staff is super friendly. Food is priced decent. Parking is free and the parking lot is nice and clean. Finding all the dinosaurs was pretty neat as well. I look forward to the giraffe expansion!
Visited this place for the renfaire This is a very nice long walk and all the exhibits where fun to visit, I'm particularly a very big fan of the animatronic dinosaurs around the park. The birds where very bold in this park (the local ones) and I even witnessed one bother a bear.
We went in late April and the parking was free (great surprise). The zoo is easy to navigate and the exhibits are well maintained. The food was also pretty good and reasonably priced. A great way to spend half a day with the kids.
