I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The entire property feels old, neglected, and poorly maintained—not charming, just run-down. Many things were broken, the hotel felt dirty, and the overall atmosphere was unwelcoming. That said, a few of the front desk employees were genuinely nice, even though some of them didn’t seem to know what was going on or appeared not to care. The location is also convenient, since it is right across the street from a large mall. The housekeeping service was especially poor. My room was never thoroughly cleaned: crumbs remained on the floor for my entire stay because it was never vacuumed, the floors were visibly dirty, and my bed sheets were never changed during the week I was there. Housekeeping also threw away food I was saving as well as a reusable shower cap I had brought from home. When I called the front desk to ask for a replacement shower cap, I was told they didn’t have any, only to discover later that they actually did. It left the impression that the staff was not well informed about the hotel’s own amenities. To top it all off, on my last day I found an earwig crawling near the coffee maker that I had been using every morning. Between the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and overall condition of the property, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would not stay here again.
My wife and I selected this hotel due to its proximity to Blossom Music Center. When I was informed that we would get a renovated room, I felt confident that the room would be very nice. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Some aspects of the room were nice. In particular, the bed was comfortable. The wallpaper behind the bed looked new. However, the wallpaper under the window looked like there was water damage along the wall. Similar to other reviews, the shower was very disappointing. It still had an old, small bathtub that was chipped up and looked dirty. The tub is also narrow and a bit slippery. The tile and grout looked old and dirty too. The shower head and curtain were old, as well. The bathroom counter looked newer and the floor tile looked newer (although it did not look clean and sanitized). I would recommend that they remove the tub and tile, and start fresh with a high quality shower... with a high quality shower head. The bathroom mirror had a built-in night light across the top that was too bright and would not turn off. The furniture in the room was dated, and the carpet was not clean. We noticed an empty lip balm container on the floor, some pretzel pieces, and some hair. Fortunately, we were only there for one night. This property does not live up to Hilton Hotels higher standards.

Price was affordable, but at the cost of quality. Stayed on the first floor in the back - room was musty, leftover towels, safe didn’t work, and the keys didn’t work (needed to replace them 4x during stay). Parking is available and the amenities at the hotel (pool, restaurant) were great.
Fine Location and Staff was excellent Rooms especially bathrooms are in need of a refresh probably time for PIP review Hot water in sink was turned off because of a leak that was not fixed numerous holes in wall where soap dish should be located? just a bit dated
I was very disappointed with my recent stay at DoubleTree by Hilton. I booked a King Suite, expecting a comfortable space to host my grandchildren, given that it included a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator. However, the suite lacked basic kitchen essentials—no plates, no kitchen towels—and the refrigerator was dirty inside. The room itself was in poor condition: lamps were missing knobs and couldn’t be turned on, walls showed visible water damage with peeling paint, and the TV screen was too dark to watch, with no way to adjust the brightness. I was genuinely embarrassed and concerned about paint chips falling near my grandchildren. The location also offers a challenge trying to pull out into traffic. A traffic light would help being the W.Market St. traffic being so busy. Be cautious! To make matters worse, I had ongoing issues with the room keys not working properly. On a positive note, the service team was helpful, and the lobby was spotless. We also hosted a birthday dinner at the hotel for about 30 people, and the staff was wonderful throughout. I truly appreciate their efforts. However, for a property carrying the Hilton name, the room conditions fell far below standard. A suite should reflect the same level of care and cleanliness as the lobby. I hope management addresses these maintenance and housekeeping issues urgently
