The State Hotel took wonderful care of us on our first trip to Seattle! We arrived much later than anticipated, but after a long day of travel we were treated to a lovely welcome card and a stunning view of the water from our 8th floor room (809). The rooms are small, but they make impeccable use of the space. The hotel is cozy and welcoming on all accounts. Everything we observed was clean and modern. The art and design is beautiful and reflective of the local scene. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable linens. Qi chargers are provided bedside and Google Chromecast available on the television. The wifi was speedy and trouble free. Given the location (across the street from Pike Place Market), the rooms were surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The Target across the street is perfect for anything you may have forgotten. This was a perfect hotel for us!
Highly, highly recommend! Amazing staff, location, everything! Rooms are updated and beautiful, tasteful decor throughout the hotel. Loved the terrace (plus bar open 4-8) upstairs. Amazing view, we were on the 7th floor & when we arrived early they were able to get us right in which was very convenient. Truly the attention to detail was commendable and is replicated in the restaurant!! Ben Paris is incredible, do not miss it on your trip. You get a $15 credit per day as part of the resort charge and it is the best excuse to go. I’ll write a review for there too but bravo all around, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. You can’t beat this location and you’re not compromising on anything.

Location is beyond great, I liked the security of this hotel. Comfortable beds, nice rooms, pretty standard, does the job. Clean rooms. I didn’t like that there was no iron, or hair diffuser, I asked front desk but wasn’t offered; also did not like the art work in the room or 2 faces didn’t love that. Should change it to a landscape. The lobby and attached restaurant is cute. Offered fund chips towards restaurant able to get a meal or drink. Enjoyed that.
Location is unbeatable. Hotel has a nice rooftop with a great view of Sunset. All employees were very helpful. The credit type sytstem is confusing, they are chrging you for the discounts and freebies ? does not make sense at all. I used it for the discount at restaurant Ben Paris which was really good both for breakfast and dinner. Rooms are like all very central but mid range US hotels. Very old furnitures and look dark and matresses really need to be replaced with new ones but overall cleanliness is alright and roommaids were very kind and helpful.
Booked the hotels only specific room and requested an early check in as I was traveling with my son and they don't have double bedrooms. My early check in was denied and despite a very friendly person at reception we waited in the lobby for 4 hours while I saw multiple people getting their rooms as they just walked in. I totally understand a busy hotel and turning rooms etc but prioritizing turning rooms for people that aren't here vs guests sitting in the lobby is pretty frustrating. We paid a premium for a room and the very least they could have provided a comped breakfast at the restaurant. Lots of options for hotels but for a brand trying to be service oriented major failure. I'm sure it's a fine hotel but building customer loyalty comes from doing the little things right.
