I was looking for a new PCP and Obgyn and felt lucky to find them in one practice! After having each appointment I can confidently say that this is by far the best experience I've had with a doctor/practice. Each doc gave me their full attention. I didn't feel rushed and they didn't make me feel dumb for asking any questions, which I find often happens nowadays. They were both super thorough and I'm so impressed with all that they offer at their practice. I've already recommended them to friends and won't be going anywhere else as long as I'm in Chicago.
I found Dr Thurer & Dr Chavez as a team were brilliant... friendly kind and patient with all my questions; I thought the facility was awesome and their guidance made it easy. Dr Chavez exercised significant patience with me that I appreciated it.

I really wanted to love this place. Their marketing is excellent and gives the impression they would be very proactive about preventative and holistic health. But it's basically like any other primary care doctor. They will test you for the bare minimum even when you communicate that you want to be very proactive about your health. They failed to test me for a very significant cholesterol marker, and it took me finding and paying for Function Health to discover I had dangerously high levels. This marker is largely genetic so if they had tested me, I would have discovered it a year earlier and had more time to make lifestyle changes to keep my other risk factors under control. I had also inquired about how to get tested for genetic markers such as the BRCA gene, and I was given a pamplet. Our medical system is very broken.
Dr. Brunnegraber is an excellent provider! I have been seeing her for years and every visit always exceeds expectations. She cares about her patients and goes above and beyond!
I’ve been a patient at the Raby Institute for over three years and have had a consistently positive experience. The staff—from the front desk team to the nurses and doctors—is professional, kind, and easy to work with. My appointments are always on time, and communication is efficient. I receive timely responses when I send a message, and the app is simple to use. The office is always clean, calm, and welcoming. I also appreciate the balanced approach to care, combining both Eastern and Western treatment options. Overall, I highly recommend the Raby Institute.
