I have been to downtown Denver many times in the past decade and have stayed in many hotels there (including quarantining in one for five days in the earlier days of the COvID-19 pandemic). This place is different than any of the other places, and in a very cool way. It’s an old, restored Victorian cottage style place with very comfortable rooms that are like having a room in a Victorian mansion in the old west. The location is great for access to all of downtown Denver, from convention center to government offices and LoDo’s night scene. But the rooms and location aren’t why I Love this place… from the beginning the service was what really stood out. Surprisingly I never met anyone face to face! I arrived after midnite and was gone in the AM early. The system they have is dialed though, from passcode entry to secure lockbox for room keys and a nice coffee bar 24/7. I wish I’d have stayed longer! The clincher is when I left a fave shirt hanging in the room… I realized it too late (flying home from DEN, maybe not my favorite airport), but I simply texted with them and they again had a solution dialed immediately. No ‘let me send you to housekeeping’ or shuffle around. Great experience.
I absolutely loved my stay at Urban Cowboy. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay this is it. The staff was amazing and they offered a drink when I arrived which was a nice touch. Everything in this place is stunning!! It is great how they kept the original charm of the place and did a good job with sourcing everything for the interior decor. Not to mention they have a lovely bar & restaurant on-site called Public House. The food was delicious and I loved sitting outside by the fire pits. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was great, and last but not least the tub is a dream. My night here was exactly what I needed. Whether you are visiting Denver because it is in a great location close to Denver city center or wanting to do a staycation I 10/10 recommend

11/10. Their thoughtfulness and attention to every detail is impressive. Everything is very well curated, from the robes to the mini bar offerings to the water station drink-ware. It’s super cozy and they make it feel luxurious and high end yet accessible and fun at the same time. Especially in Denver, you would expect a place like this to take themselves too seriously and give a snobbish vibe, but not at all. Perfect for a romantic night away from the toddler. We didn’t make it to the Public House, but there will definitely “be a next time.” We loved suite 16, but will request #4 next time. Hope to check each room off the list eventually.
Was in there for at least a half hour with some friends barely anyone in there. Bartender ignored me didn’t even acknowledge my existence. Had my credit card in my hand. Served people who came in 20 minutes after me before me. After 30-40 minutes just walked out because I never got a drink. my friends ordered drinks multiple times before I was ever even greeted. Pizza was good though.
FILTHY!! Just ok- not a full service hotel. The rooms are fine, a little old fashioned. The windows were absolutely filthy, they’d clearly not been touched in months. Thick with dust and drafty. No double glazing and noisy too. The carpet was also dirty with what looked like dog hair. My allergies were kicking off massively! I arrived after 6 and was locked out. I had to call and get a door code- which was fine but I felt like I was scalded because I didn’t know this ‘rule’. There’s only someone at the hotel till 6pm, no breakfast options, no tea or coffee maker in the rooms (just in the lobby area), no safe, & no maid service! At over £250 a night during the week in Febuary is ridiculous. There’s also nothing in the area - surrounded by skyscrapers and construction. The art museum is around 15 min walk but lack of restaurants and bars in proximity. There’s also no elevator and I had to get two 25kg suitcases up the stairs alone. The woman who works the reception is very pleasant and tried to help me wish some travel arrangements. But for the price, all you get is a room, no amenities. There’s a bar next door- I went in once and it was completely empty & the bartender was rude. Say elsewhere and save your money!
