I hired Singer Vaughn Electric to repair the motor in a bathroom fan and install a dedicated circuit for my electric fireplace/heater, and they went above and beyond! Not only were they prompt and professional when scheduling my service, Lester and Asia looked at the mess of wires and surge protectors I had for my fireplace and TV and decided to add 2 outlets to streamline my system and clean up the aesthetic in my living room at the same quoted price. For the bathroom fan, they gave me the option to repair the existing motor or upgrade to a newer quieter system and explained the pro's and con's of each option. I decided to repair the existing motor, and they provided a clean new cover, again upgrading the appearance of the bathroom. I highly recommend Singer Vaughn Electric and plan on using them for my future electrical projects!
100% recommend. Lester and his crew and office were supreme professionals, completing a conduit line to our garage in Oakwood (terminating in two outlets and a light) efficiently, cleanly, and quietly in just a few hours, without any hiccups, and at a remarkably affordable price. Lester also rescued us from a franchise electrician outfit who attempted to upcharge and sell us unneeded work. Lester is fair, trustworthy, and clearly knows his craft and the local Dayton home stock well. Can’t give SV enough stars!!!

Mr. Vaughn was very professional and prompt. And I can say he will be straight forward with you and not try to sale you something you do not need. I would definitely recommend SingerVaughn Electrical Service to anyone who needs Electric work done. He was recommended to me and now I will definitely recommend them as well. Again professionalism goes a long way. Awesome job again.
I hired Singer Vaughn to install six ceiling fans and a kitchen light in April 2021. They cost about half of what I was quoted by another electrician. Now I know why. I was told the electricians would assemble and install all ceiling fans, not just mount and wire up the hardware. They did not. I was told some of the brackets they installed (blue plastic) were rated for ceiling fans. They were not. One of the fan brackets is at the wrong level and is pictured below. You can see the bracket even with a ceiling fan installed. One of the electricians slipped and fell through the ceiling in my living room (pictured below). This was an honest mistake, but the two guys patched up my ceiling (very poorly, also pictured below), and just left it like that. I called the next day to see when the real drywall professionals would fix my ceiling and nobody at the office even knew it happened. The electricians didn't tell anyone. It was over a month before they sent someone out to fix the drywall, and they were cagey about giving me the contractor's details so I could not contact them myself. After the ceiling was fixed it turns out the Singer Vaughn employee who fell through my ceiling had also broken a drainage pipe for my air conditioner, so the fixed ceiling promptly became moldy and water logged. At this point I decided to take care of things myself. For the money it took to repair my drywall, insulation, HVAC, and all the hassle it took to replace the unfit fan boxes and arrange for the initial drywall repair, I spent just as much money as I would have with the highest estimate for the job. If I could do it again I'd go with someone else.
Update as of Sep: We never actually received the reimbursement for cleaning up the drywall work. Update: They brought someone out to do a cleaning after having the the ceiling fixed. Since we had already cleaned up the original mess, they had someone come out after the ceiling was sanded. This was extremely nice and completely made up for any mess that was left the first time around. And, I also expect that they're going to reimburse us for the small expensive having the lights cleaned up. Therefore, I'm adjusting this rating accordingly from a satisfactory to an exceeded expectations. We hired Singer Vaughn electric to install lights in our kitchen and office. We were pleased with the communication, prompt service, scheduling accommodations and general customer service demeanor. My family even noted how friendly they were. However, they don't quite make the five-star rating due to some of the drywall issues. The kitchen was dusty, which is to be expected when you're cutting into drywall, however compared to previous contracted work with Good Guy Home Improvements, they did not clean up as well. It looks like cutting into the ceiling drywall was a difficult job. We will have to have someone repair the drywall around the new lights in addition to repairing the expected spots. Four of the eight lights installed in the kitchen will need some touch-ups. In addition they also cause some new chips in our glass covering for our kitchen island.
