I have come here a couple times and most recently for a new tire! The team I’ve interacted with either at the shop or on the phone has always been very pleasant and honest. They’re very transparent about what work needs to be done and give a time frame as well. Really trustworthy and I’ll definitely be back in the future for all car needs!
Rozel and team did a great job on my Cadillac. They helped me diagnose the issues I was experiencing, educate me on what to worry about and what not to worry about, and didn’t stop working until I was satisfied. I will be bringing all of my cars here if I have any more issues. It’s nice having a car repair shop up you can trust.
I recently came here for a road trip check and to look at a noise my car was making. They assessed my car within a few hours of me dropping the car off and was able to correctly figure out the noise! I even came back a few days later because I thought I had heard a new concerning noise from my car, and they took a look at it for me to assure me that everything was okay. I greatly appreciated the service they provided me at a decent price that did not feel like I was being scammed. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and would come here again!

I am writing to file a complaint regarding my recent experience with Auto Shop of the Carolinas. I initially brought my vehicle in due to a check engine light. I was charged $139 for a diagnostic, and based on their findings, I was advised to proceed with repairs. I then approved and paid $857.67 for the recommended repair, with the understanding that this would resolve the issue. However, the check engine light returned within just two days of the repair, indicating that the problem had not been properly fixed. I returned to the shop and explained that the issue persisted. Instead of honoring the previous diagnostic and repair, I was charged again ($152.28) for a second diagnostic for the same unresolved issue. In total, I paid $291.71 just in diagnostic fees for the same problem, while the main repair itself cost $480.50. This means I paid more than half the repair cost just in diagnostics, and the issue still was not resolved. I find this unacceptable. The original problem — the check engine light — was never resolved, and I should not have been charged a second diagnostic fee for a continuation of the same issue. While I understand that new codes may appear, the root problem remained the same and should have been addressed under the original diagnostic and repair. I am requesting a refund for the second diagnostic charge, as it is not reasonable to charge a customer again when the initial repair did not resolve the issue. I hope this matter can be resolved fairly and professionally. UPDATE AFTER COMPANY RESPONSE: Thank you for your response. However, after reviewing all invoices and the sequence of events, there is a serious inconsistency in how my vehicle was handled. When I returned to your shop, the exhaust manifold and oxygen sensor had already been replaced at another repair facility, and the problem persisted. This was communicated. In fact, I had already paid $460 at another shop for the exhaust manifold replacement. Despite that, your shop proceeded to replace the exhaust manifold again. Regardless of whether the vehicle had been serviced elsewhere or not, it is your responsibility to perform an accurate and complete diagnostic before recommending any repairs — not to make assumptions or repeat a repair without confirming that it is the actual cause of the issue. If a proper diagnostic had been performed before the repair, it would have shown that the issue was not related to the manifold, especially considering it had already been replaced. Only after I paid $480.50 for this repair — and the check engine light returned within two days — was a new diagnostic performed, for which I was charged $152.28 to identify a problem that had not been resolved previously. At that point, completely different fault codes were identified, confirming that the original repair did not address the actual issue. This demonstrates that the manifold replacement was unnecessary and that the correct issue was not identified before the repair was performed. The issue is not that new codes appeared, but that a complete diagnostic was not performed before charging for a major repair. For these reasons, I am requesting a refund for both the second diagnostic fee and the exhaust manifold replacement.
Auto Shop did a great job on my Avalon Hybrid. The rotated the tires, replaced the front struts and did a four wheel alignment. My car rides and steers like it is brand new! Auto Shop did their usual awesome job.
