I really enjoyed my stay! It was perfect! My room was super clean, the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I was on the 11th floor, and I really enjoyed my views. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The restaurant has great food, if you want to dine in. I loved everything about my stay. I will be returning soon! Thank you! 😊
This place is really beautiful and in a great location. The staff was kind; Victoria at the front desk was awesome. We had a couple issues, such as the refrigerator in our room not working and our room didn’t have a remote to the TV. Once we asked for a remote I came to realize that they give you a massive TV with the ability to only watch cable tv. That’s super unfortunate for such a nice hotel. The AC wasn’t working well but we just dealt with it. The pool is also extremely mediocre and no hot tub. Otherwise it’s been a great stay. Rooms are clean with a great view of the city.

My husband and I stayed at the Duniway Hotel in downtown Portland and popped into the bar where we had the pleasure of being served by Clint. We were absolutely impressed by his mixology skills! The bar quickly filled up, yet Clint never missed a beat. Watching him craft what seemed like an endless stream of Old Fashioneds with precision and consistency was honestly entertaining. They looked so good that we finally decided to order one ourselves—and it was outstanding! Beyond his talent behind the bar, Clint has a warm, friendly personality. He managed to keep the drinks flowing while still taking the time to chat with guests and make everyone feel welcome. It’s not often you find someone who can balance exceptional craftsmanship, efficiency, and genuine hospitality so effortlessly. If you’re staying at the Duniway Hotel, also recommended, or just looking for a great cocktail in downtown Portland, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at Clint’s bar. You won’t be disappointed!
I enjoyed my weekend stay at The Duniway. The location is great- easy to get to various neighborhoods and attractions in Portland, plus close to lots of good restaurants - and it felt very quiet and safe, even walking back from the movie theater at 11pm at night. The restaurant on-site, Mayrose, is quite good! We had breakfast there each morning to take advantage of our Amex FHR credit, and also enjoyed dinner there one night. I thought the hotel room was really cute, modern and spacious for two of us. Yes, the room was a little dinged up and could use a refresh in terms of the headboard and paint touchups - but it was clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! We did self-parking for $35 a night. The parking is connected to the hotel so you can take an elevator or stairs directly back into the hotel. The hotel service was fine - nothing extraordinary but I wasn't expecting it to be. The restaurant servers were lovely and we never had to wait long at the front desk. I found this hotel to be an excellent value when my Amex credits were factored in. Even without those, I'd stay again in the future.
We were very excited about this property however it turned out to not be what we were hoping for. I did convey our issues to the staff during our stay so this review is not just venting without giving the hotel an opportunity to address our issues. The parking and check in process was quick and easy and the lobby and bar area are beautiful as well as the outdoor terrace on the 11th floor. The room left a bit to be desired. I know many travelers don't care much about their room but I do. On a getaway trip I absolutely want to spend some time relaxing in my room and binging TV shows without the stresses of life. It was spacious which was nice however the bed was not facing the TV and the design of the bed made it so you couldn't even lay on your side to watch TV. You had to sit sideways on the bed. Now the TV....there was a Chromecast channel that connected to HDMI1 but nothing plugged in to HDMI1. We only had access to watch currently airing TV. There wasn't even access to purchase shows or movies. Fortunately we had a laptop and were able to watch on that but it was not the best case scenario. The shower ceiling was 7' tall and the rainfall shower head was at 6'. My husband is 6'5" and had to basically squat in order to get under the shower head. There was a handheld attachment also but its spray when mounted was blocked by the main shower head which couldn't be moved out of the way. The bar and restaurant staff were absolutely fantastic and very much improved our overall experience at the property. The location was fantastic with the exception of one day that all of the surrounding roads were closed due to a parade and we didn't learn this until very close to our trip and might have chosen another property if we'd known we wouldn't have access to our vehicle.
