This was a experience.I bought a car from out-of-state. I went there to get my vehicle servi ced and they made me feel right at home. All the guys there are great and they care about you as a customer. I highly recommend Autohaus Merkle.
I spent a lot of time and did a lot of research looking for a shop in Indy that I could trust to work on my 2018 Audi S5 and am so glad I found the guys at Autohaus! They’re all enthusiast which helps me trust that the car is in good hands.
Finally, no check engine light!! I bought a used VW Golf in good shape and low mileage earlier this year from a local dealer and within 10 days of purchase my check engine light illuminated. The error code was for the knock sensors. Had a mechanic replace them and the light was back on within a day with the same code. Another mechanic wanted to replace the sensors again and basically gave up trying to solve the issue when the light came back on, and the VW dealer service wanted a fortune to replace the same sensors that had already been replaced. It was a frustrating few months and then I called Autohaus Merkle. From the beginning I felt the team communicated clearly on their process and Tyler (the manager) really seemed to know his stuff when it comes to German engines. At the intake they'll send you a text that includes images of your car and any concerns they may see with their initial inspection. Once they get into the diagnostics they'll again text you with the suggested repair and the cost which you can easily approve by clicking a link on your phone and they were always willing to discuss more if I gave them a call before approving the repair. My repair took a while due to it being a product of elimination. My codes were for the knock sensors but with them already having been replaced there was likely another issue causing the error codes. I got a text the repair would require ordering a part. It took about a week for the part to arrive to complete the repair but once installed I got the text my car was fixed! When I called to say I was coming to pick my car up and confirmed the ordered part was the issue, I learned it wasn't. It ended up being something else, bad coils the dealer I bought it from had installed. Tyler replaced those at no additional cost to me and now they're warrantied for 5 years. Would another shop do this? Doubt it. I'm grateful to be able to finally enjoy my car after driving it for months with a check engine light and acceleration issues. Both Brad and Tyler in the office are great to deal with and the team their got to the heart of the issue and fixed my car! Great service, car repaired, and great warranty! I'll definitely return for other services.

Ok so they serviced my BMW 330 CI left by my dad when he passed. They put a new transmission in. It was more expensive then I wanted but overall they did an excellent job. I dont drive the car much in cold weather but have driven it enough to see the work is solid. They didnt reset the ABS & Traction control which is caused by any service done on the car and requires a simple test on the steering wheel sensor. Also I sent them for a transmission repair and when they sent me a work order for diagnostic I was under the impression it was for the transmission and instead they sent me a work order for alot of other things that I knew about but didnt ask for. So that cost me 2 separate diagnostic charges so please ask questions when getting your car checked out. I would recommend them though and will use them in the future if it is something I can't do. I would have given 5 stars but price and simple reset gives them a 4 stars. Thank you Autohaus Merkle !!
Autohaus Merkle is great! Brad and Trask provided excellent customer service and took care of my VW. They were thorough and took the time needed to dig deep into an issue with my vehicle. I appreciate it, thanks!
