Location worked well for what we needed. It's a BW so it isn't "fancy" or luxury by any means. Basic accomodations, beds aren't very good. You have to pretty much go into the shower to close the bathroom door because of how small the bathroom is. But pillows were nice, and the dino theme is pretty cool. Take some time to wander the lobby and check out the stuff they have. It's pretty cool to look at. Front desk staff were always pleasant. Breakfast is super basic, but works. Eating outside of the weather is good is nice. Only word of caution is about the pot smoking. Seemed like our entire floor was smoking weed, so walking to our room and out to the car each day was an exercise in guessing who was smoking cheap skunk weed, and who was in town simply to buy it. Honestly surprised at how much weed was being smoked in rooms. I would have thought Mgt. wouldn't tolerate it. We asked the front desk about it at one point, and they simply smiled and said "it's Denver". So if you have kids or don't really want to deal with all the pot smoke, this place might not be for you
Have stayed here in the past. Won’t ever stay here again. Booked through Priceline paid for the weekend. Brought my dogs. They kicked me out and wouldn’t refund me anything and charged my card 300 extra because I had my dogs the dogs didn’t mess anything up and when I booked I put I had dogs. The guy behind the counter very rude and acted like he didn’t speak English just said his manager would get back with me when I ask. Then he said there’s dogs on that side of the hotel. Like i picked my room. Not my fault. Update. They finally refunded my friends money and ask if I would delete the review. I’m not going to delete it. My other friend ended up staying the rest of the weekend there and day of check out. We went to eat there crappy breakfast ( witch was always out of things like milk, eggs, sausage, cups, syrup) our luggage was still in the room while we were eating they went threw the room threw away my wife’s cake took the sheets off the beds but left the rest of the trash. Front desk said they put the cake in our blue bag which they didn’t. I ask why they went threw out room before we even check out they said they can because the sign do not disturb sign wasn’t up. If it’s check out day they should wait till after check out to pull the bedding and go through the room. Complete bs how there running the hotel. We use to stay there every time we came to town now we’ll never be back. Thanks a lot for ruining a nice hotel. Stick to running convince stores. Ps my translation headphones picked up what you were saying. Your lucking I’m being this nice in the reviews!

Friendly Staff. Commons area is quite luxurious but the commons bathroom soap dispensers did not work. Very nice courtyard with pool. Hot tub is in the middle of the pool, so kids can’t be kids if the hot tub is occupied. Bathrooms are tiny. There is an ER nearby so we woke to sirens frequently. Fire alarm is in working condition. Plenty of parking, even for Medium duty trucks and light-duty combination vehicles.
If you’re like me, when you need a hotel, you search for the cheapest that doesn’t mention bed bugs and you book it. I’m not picky, I just want to sleep and shower and move on. But when one of those options is listed on Atlas Obscura as DENVER’S DINOSAUR HOTEL, you stop searching and book! And it’s wonderful! There are dozens of fossils in the lobby, there are fantastic paintings in the stairway, even the room numbers look like they’re carved from red rock. And then, there’s a dinosaur print pillow on the bed! The owners of this charming Best Western funneled their passion into making this hotel different from all of the others and it shows. I respect and love that and that’s why I’m writing this review. I wish more business owners would make this sort of investment!
Convenient to the highways, food, and Costco. The rooms were pretty clean, except for someone's clothes that were left in the dresser drawer. The top sheet on my bed also wasn't put on properly, so it was all bunched up under the covers. Those two things have me concerned about other cleanliness opportunities that housekeeping staff may have overlooked. The theming was cool. There are lots of fossils in the library, and the room was lightly themed with dinosaur throw pillows. The pool looked a little stagnant, like there was something wrong with the pump. The same things that were kind of floating on the surface in the morning were still there in the evening when I went to use the hot tub. Breakfast was decent, standard hotel breakfast.
