The best choice I have made for my family. Moving to Novant has been a life saver. Dr. David Baker III MD and his staff treats each patient like family. He has helped me with a lot of resources for my family and any health concerns He is quick to respond.
Not going to name which Dr, but I could have died due to ignorance on the Drs part, the info I gave my Dr regarding my medical condition was blown off and told I didn't know what I was talking about, I have been dealing with this for several years, don't always assume Drs know everything, but what I tried telling my Dr is easily found even on a simple Google search. (No I don't expect a Dr to use Google but this was just a simple issue that even Google has correctly) But overall the people there are nice, I guess ignorance can be found anywhere and everywhere!

I love Mrs April Gentry she is professional and will answer any question you have. She wants what best for you BUT the nursing staff and the front desk are horrible! The nurses doesn’t call you back . If they do call you back and the call fails don’t expect for them to attempt to call back again you’ll be waiting another 3 days for a call. I wish Mrs Gentry go elsewhere so I can follow her there
Not A Free Clinic!!' This is not a free clinic! This clinic is not free! You will have to pay! They charge you the full market amount then tell you to apply for a waiver or financial assistance. In the mean while they are billing you and sending your bills to collections! When you complain they say that you signed the consent that says you are agree to be financially responsible for the medical bills.
Doctor April Gentry is a great doctor. We moved over to the new office because of her and she still is great and informative, but the staff there is lazy and very unprofessional. Just from the start when weighing my teen son, he didn’t have to take shoes or jacket off. When doing the height, Doctor Gentry had to go back and redo the measurements because again, the staff didn’t do it right. The last draw for me was the lab specialist…my son was supposed to to get labs done for cholesterol and A1c but the young lady with the earrings in her nose and long nails said she is the pediatric person who draw blood for kids but she refuse to do it!!!! She then said we need to go to Lab Corp and have it done. What was crazy was she took my son’s prick on finger but she refuses to do pediatric blood work??? How are you the person that draws blood but refuse to draw blood, I asked her and she really didn’t give me an answer. The craziest part was that my son wasn’t giving any problems, she just didn’t wanna do it. Note: this is the same girl that took his weight and his height incorrectly. They need more training on professionalism and medical ethics. I feel they are making Dr Gentry look bad, the place she was at before was totally different, very pleasant to patients. Hopefully Dr. Gentry clean house or get the unprofessionals proper training soon.
