I can't say enough good things about Chicago Roofing Solutions, especially John and his team. They are professional, responsive, dependable, and do exceptional work. What impressed me most was the time John took to truly understand my home instead of just fixing the obvious problem. Last fall, I called them because I had a roof leak that was coming into my living room. They repaired it, and the repair held up well. After a major storm, however, the leak spread to another area. Instead of simply patching it again, John took the time to do a thorough investigation. He carefully inspected the roof, documented everything with photos, and explained exactly what was happening and why. That's when he discovered underlying issues that had actually been there all along. When I purchased my 1920s Chicago bungalow two years ago, my home inspector inspected the roof with a drone instead of physically walking it. John found problems that the inspection had completely missed. He explained that these are the kinds of hidden issues that can develop on older Chicago homes and made sure I understood my options. Following a storm, a leak developed after a section of shingles were lost. I quickly assessed the damage and began looking for a licensed insured professional for an emergency repair as another storm is due in a couple days. Such repairs are often on the difficult side to accomplish in such a short turnaround. Narrowed down to two companies, I called Chicago Roofing Solutions. I spoke with John and he quickly came out to take a look. The roof is angled, a bit steep in places, and the quite apparently damaged section was in a bad spot. For the emergency repair and the prompt turnaround, the price was within expectation. John and his coworker were able to provide a quick turnaround and a great attention to detail by blending the patch into the rest of the shingles. I'm quite pleased with their work. John provided me with a clear and honest professional review of his inspection of the roof, which was of no surprise. I have had an inspection, performed my own research, reviewed some options, and have been recently obtaining estimates prior to the storm damage. I look forward to Chicago Roofing Solutions's estimate for my upcoming replacement plans. I'm familiar with the work involved and associated costs. The risk for further and greater costly damages is worth considering a fair price when the professional work is assured to be performed excellently, promptly, and to standards. Did a complete roof replacement in the spring. John and his team were all excellent. Great communication and on site supervision from John, his team was extremely professional and courteous. Had to replace many plywood boards under the shingles and they brought it to my attention and made a recommendation which I agreed with. Would definitely recommend and will use them again in the future for additional projects. Thanks guys
We had a great experience with this team replacing our flat roof and installing new Trex decking. Everything went exactly as they outlined and quoted from the start, which we really appreciated. They worked efficiently whenever weather allowed and were very thoughtful about minimizing disruption—accessing the project from the outside of the building so our day-to-day routine wasn’t impacted much at all. Throughout the process, they checked in on key decisions and were flexible with small adjustments when we requested them. John, our main point of contact, was especially easy to work with—very responsive, communicative, and helpful. Overall, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. We’d definitely recommend them.
We had Chicago Roofing Solutions out to replace our roof. At the first rain after the installation, a leak developed in the wall immediately under the new roof. When they came back out, they said it wasn’t their fault and I’d need to pay for a contractor to come out, open the wall and determine the leak. Two independent contractors identified it was because Chicago Roofing Solutions didn’t properly seal the new roof to the scupper box, resulting in thousands of dollars of damage. They refuse to reimburse for the damage, actually gaslighted me saying it was my fault for bringing in a contractor and stopped responding when trying to discuss the situation. They were fine until something went wrong and then it cost me thousands for their mistake.
