Had a good experience at The Frist today. Took advantage of Bank of America "first weekend" free ticket. I specifically went for the Women Artists exhibit since it is International Women's Day and Women's Month, but there was also the Impressionists on loan from the Dallas Museum of Art. Both were great. Sunday visit so fairly crowded, but since you can buy your ticket thru an app, the line to get tickets was not bad at all, moved quickly. The galleries are not large and with the popularity of the exhibits it took a bit of patience getting thru it all. Overall the museum is not big, so I got thru and saw everything I wanted to in less than 2 hours. I would recommend The Frist, depending on the exhibits available. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The building is historic to Nashville and there is a display and info about it when it was the main post office. The transformation to art museum saved the building, which is nice because Nashville sure is getting ugly.
This building is very beautiful. We went here to see Paul McCartney's exhibit, the Eyes of the Storm, and everything was displayed very nicely. We also had a lot of fun in the kids area afterward drawing, making stop motion movies, and more! The price is also very reasonable. I would return for more.

Decent but it always seems like they are holding back. They could do better. Like an exhibit of Paul McCartney photos?! I’d rather the museum be completely filled with future artist photos like the one hallway of kids art! The kids play area is always solid for the kidos!
The Frist Museum is an amazing place for the whole family. Enjoy art and educate yourself in animation, crafts and visual arts in general. The employees are fantastic and knowledgeable. If you visit Nashville, do not miss to see their exhibitions and corner for kids. The Frist is a must! ♥️
Absolutely great museum. I particularly liked the quilt exhibition, I'm keen to return for future temporary exhibitions. The main entry hall is unique. Parking is not free, which is annoying for such a lovely museum.
